I see Ferguson has shown Capello the way; he's dropped an out of form player.

Carson gave away a poor goal today.
We are depending on Hart and Foster.

According to the Guardian Rooney has announced that he will not be signing a new contract at Manchester United and is likely to leave in the January transfer window. He cites a fall out with Alex Ferguson.

IMO this could be a good move for him.

Ferg invented an injury to protect Rooney from the spotlight.
I guess Rooney didnt like it for some reason.

Rooney a bit off the pace is a better option than any other possible replacement for both club and England.

Ferguson ********ed up by rushing him back for the Bayern game. Ever since then Rooney has struggled and the off-field stuff has just created even more tension between them.

I don't see Ferguson wanting to keep going after this season anyway, the cash isn't there to buy 2-3 top class players they need to win the big trophies in the short term and at 68 he doesn't have the time to grow another side from the youngsters. This Rooney thing may be the last straw.

    Sven wants Vassell

I see Andy Carroll might actually be going to jail. So I doubt he'll make the next friendly squad now.

Ferg said Roon was the man who made the call to play that game. Not sure if it was true or not. But after that he never showed any form. Then Capello inexplicably played him the full 90 v Mexico and Japan. At this point he became aware the hooker was trying to dish the dirt on him. Which resulted in his world cup nightmare.

Given that he's a local lad, I found it a bit bizarre that he gave his address as the Jesmond Dene Hotel. And his bail involving him having to stay at Kevin Nolan's house is also a bit strange.

Still, at least with Calderwood getting the Hibs job he should be freed up a bit from the regular pressuring for him to play for Scotland.

Yeah, he doesn't have a fixed abode. Does he not even speak to his parents or something?

I didn't expect the Rooney stuff to turn out like this. Sounds to me like something has happened behind closed doors that isn't being mentioned.

Rooney wants to get out of the country.
Sods law that all this hooker business would happen in a world cup year.

It might be Man City offering him crazy money.

Can someone tactically explain why you wouldn't play Gerrard, Wilshere, Adam Johnson and a defensive midfielder ? Wilshere has shown very recently he's willing to tackle, we all know Gerrard can tackle. AJ is looking good and all we need is good DM.

I hear Jagielka has played DM.
Might be time to try an experiment.

It might get claustrophobic in manchester if he traded teams.
man City are the only team that could afford him though.

Someone has got to his agent thats for sure.....unless his agent started quietly shopping him around.....agents make the big money when players move, not so much when they stay put for 10 years. Can't see United letting him go to City though.

the whole Rooney saga has definitely got some additional twists that we don't know yet. Something has clearly happened that is making him leave United for something other than football reasons. The suddenness and the dates August 14th - didn't want to stay Sep 5th Hooker stories come out make me think it wasn't that but it was something else.

There are rumours he has a list as long as Tiger Woods' but changing clubs won't help. Clearly not something that Ferguson has done so is it some kind of blackmail - he knows some pretty dodgy characters...

Balance. Unless you're going to play Gerrard or Wilshere out wide.
