It could be leaked but I doubt it. I hope this isn't it but Umbro have been going downhill lately with designs where Nike has been coming out with some good ones. Now that Nike own Umbro, perhaps we'll see an improvement. At least we don't have Adidas.

The kit will be launched in March and people should receive them by 1 April when England play at home against Ukraine.

It looks terrible so hopefully it wont be that.
I always liked the Inter Milan one and thought we should copy it.

Surely, that's not the new kit... Although, I remember a lot of people slagging off the latest away kit, but it wasn't as bad as many were making it out to be. It grows on you..:)

    Absolutely.

I am still waiting for them to bring back the Admiral kit from the 80's though.

It looks like something out of the late 70's-early 80's. Bland, dull, and boring.

Missing the gold star, so I highly doubt this is going to be the strip.

The current away kit is horrid. It grew on me for a about a week last Autumn and then I came to my senses. The away kit before that was stellar I thought. Now, the current home kit has really grown on me but alas we have a new one next month and I hope to god the ones on that link aren't it.

If Umbro is going with the status quo then perhaps these photos we've seen of the supposed new home kit are actually real. This is from last year on the Away kit -

JJB Sports has hit out at Umbro, saying that it will buy record low numbers of the new England away shirt because it is poorly designed, exacerbating the problem of the national football team's failure to qualify for Euro 2008.
Chris Ronnie, JJB's new chief executive, said of the new shirts which are due to be released next month: "We don't think that Umbro has gone about the design in the right way." He was speaking as the company issued a profit warning, saying that while like-for-like sales in the six weeks to January 6 rose by 2.5pc, margins were hit as the sports retailer slashed prices to shift old stock.

if that new kit is real ,its actually ok. I wouldn't buy it, i'm sure it will be vastly overpriced, but its better than the current white shirt .

Blatently a fake. This happens everytime a new strip is imminent.

When we had the reversible white shirt with the badge in the middle, the star was on the sleeve, a la this.

If its a fake, then someone went to a lot of trouble mocking it up.

However, I am pretty confident this is not it. I would guess at a mock up that Umbro tried, and since someone up the tree said no, an underling decided to have a bit of fun, and release some pics.

Its a lot of red on the kit, and apart from the England logo, there is no blue. The last time we had grey on a shirt, well, less said the better...

    Its not horrible.

Nor does it get me all excited to be wearing my countries colours.

Its very much a "meh" design. Liked the St George cross worked in on the kit before the current one, like the 3 lions being worked in to the panelling on the side of the current one, loved the last red shirt, but the current one does not inspire me.

And I will NEVER get goose-pimply about shirts with the badge in the middle!

I doubt the FA does their own designs. My hope is that Umbro did this as one of several for presentation to the FA, and it got soundly rejected.

I really REALLY hope it falls into the catagory of "rejected sample"

I mean, why do they need that silly red ring round the logo? Its a flippin shield! Allready has a line round it!

Really does not look any different! Maybe the shading, but thats it. But that can get tweaked easily on a computer.

From the footballculture site it seems the badge will no longer have ENGLAND written above it which will be a 1st since 1998 i think.

Everyone knows who the 3 lions are anyway.

Well, thanks to Google, found another attempt via photoshop! Interesting...
    http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=110

However, looks like the 2 confirmed facts are that the logo has been tweaked, and the shirt is Umbro! Nike have obviously decided not to force their badge on to the kit.

If you take the "pre-order" imagery as any kind of hint, then looks like the simple "England" banner over the top is being replaced with an England ribbon underneath.

Ah well. Roll on the 28th for the official unveiling and the Slovakia game!

The first one has been around since last time a new home shirt was unveiled. As for the second, I like it.
