After months of working at it, we finally finished our flag for the 2012 London Olympics. Before the first ever FIFA World Cup (1930), the 1924 and 1928 Olympic football tournaments were organized by FIFA as the official "FIFA World Championships". Those two tournaments are unique in that they are the only two Olympic titles that also equate to FIFA World Cups. The sky blues won these two historic tournaments (vs. Switzerland and Argentina in legendary finals) that gave them the first 2 of 4 officially recognized FIFA World titles (4 stars on the jersey). We made these flags to commemorate Uruguay's return to Olympic football after 84 years. Beyond writing unbelievable chapters in the history of football for 100 years, it was here where the mythical sky blue was truly born. Simultaneously, this occurred with the birth of international football on the grandest stage.

They are still two-time World Cup winners to me.
