Bedoya spoke to Caracol and they asked him about the ''maturana/bolillo'' and he said 'the directors are looking to find the new manager and this is something we are looking at' he never said no.

Did I hear wrongly or what?! it had seemed to me like they said they will make up their minds on the new coach by June!!! After the Nigeria game?

Junio it sounded like he said.

I think on futbolred said in april they will meet again to pick a coach.

We need a coach that can get the best out of J-Rod or Falcao and have them play like they are doing with their clubs..... with G10 or Big Mac and the toque toque they will never be playing like they do in their clubs because goal scoring chances wont come

Big Mac is not really "Toque Toque".

Well good news that we'll have games again for the sele. But a really bittersweet feeling. We all had our hopes up, and really it all seems like a joke. I really can't think of 2 worse ppl to run this than these washed out clowns. Well Lara, Pinto and Chiqui too of course. Wouldn't surprise me if chiquis name came up too since this is more about helping washed out coaches in crisis than to help the sele.

I think falcao might as well skip the sele if bolillo takes over. I don't think the difference will be that noticeable from lara or pinto.
One scary thing though is that when you study the 4 defensas against chile it's the same 4 I would've chosen today...and yet we received 4 goals that day...
of course the midfield is where the biggest changes must happen.

I think the Bolillo and Bedoya are part of Farc..... only explaination why everyone is so afraid of these 2 clowns and won't fire or kill them...

How does Escobar get killed for being one of our best defenders ever and these clowns have cost us 3 WCQs and not even a death threat..... not wishing them harm... but it just seems fishy

Exactly, I've been wanting to say the same thing for ages but I've always stopped myself since people might get offended or misinterpret.

How do they get away with it once again? They are so obviously wrong for the NT. The guy is unemployed and recently got fired for doing a lousy job at santa fe, and now he gets promoted to the NT ?

He's so far from the peak of his career that he's nowhere near good enough or what we need.

Gomez is not the best coach for the job, but he was the last coach to take Colombia to the World Cup. He also took Ecuador to their very first world cup. Since then he failed there, sort of was average at Guetamala and failed at Santa Fe.

I think this is his last chance to prove himself and if he fails for the Seleccion he will probably have to go to the Peru or Venezuelan League cause no one else will want him.

    If he is successful...

...it will shut up a lot of people here that is for sure. And make us into a feared team again.

I think all of you have the right to your opinion but speculation as to why he does not get death threats seems a bit weird. Let's just focus on the futbol.

There is no "last chance" for Roscas. Both Maturana and Bolillo have had so many "last chances"and they always find people in power that want them back. He'll always have people that support him in FPC. When they screw up they just are quiet a little while and then when the people have started to forgotten and calm down they bring them back. Like now, I think Bedoya has known all along that he would bring Bolillo back but he's had to keep a low profile so he can sell us the idea once again. Had he said on day 1 after the elimination that he would go for reelection and bring back Bolillo and Maturana he'd feel the hate even more.

It is clear that Bolillo/Maturana's continuance in FPC has NOTHING to do with results. There is absolutely NO LOGIC for a coach bouncing up to coaching a national team like Colombia after having failed in worse and worse teams (jobs).

As long as they don't give a foreigner a shot at coaching the NT they can always make Colombians nostalgic about old glory days, so nostalgic that they don't see how he's doing today.

Colombians have very selective memory. Only remember the few good moments, but totally forgetting the upsets.

I liked Mexico's logic when they got englands old coach.... they have always been able to get out of the group stages but they just wanted that little push to at least make it to the 2nd knockout stages...

Colombians are just happy to get to the tournie and it doesn't matter that Bolillo has gone there 2x and failed miserably because of cowardly tactics. All that matters is we get there for some. I prefer not to go then to be the team with the worst record or last place in our group. Best Case scenrio is he gets us laughed out of WC2014 (other than he is fired/gets death threats after a awful Copa America(tho I want us to do well in it))
or we have a get eliminated or finish 6th or 7th again :(

guess what: he was the same coach that took them to 2002 WC
todo muy parecido....did you see your logic?

    THEY ATTEMPTED !!!!

    WE DONT EVEN TRY !!!!!!

Foriegn Coach failed with them but at least they gave it a SHOT !!!

We dont !!! We have been failing for 12 years because we keep trying the toque toque and to update it a little bit, but the coaches that have attempted it have all failed.... so what do we do .... we go back 20 years and bring back the coaches that started that bs style so we can fail even worse this time

yo no puedo defender lo que tu dices- solo cada owner of each team in Colombia's copa postobon and liga B

plus 7 members of the Colombian Federation....They run the show and manage their assets, any way they want.

I see less participation in International games = less money to deal players to europe or else where....
