    I know Im way late.....

But if this true, expect QP to reject your friendship request.

Didn't Melvin Brown play at least once or am I confusing him with the other darkie, Naca's idea of perfection, Huiqui?

Melvin Brown is of Jamaican decent if Im not mistaken, he is asking if anyone of direct african decent ever played for Mexico, cuz if we talking about black dewds playing for Mexico there is one right now in Giovani, and I believe adrian chavez played too.

I'm somewhat skeptical of this article, I mean some reporter sitting in the DF tracking down and interviewing a 15 year in nowhere France? Sounds made up to me.

I'm surprised nobody has brought up Potro Gutierrez's comments about Biyik and the youth national teams.

He basically said that unless Biyik is a "Messi type of player" he has no chance of being called up to the U17s. Biyik apparently was upset about it and has told friends in France that the Mexican coaches didn't want him on the team.

Why would a coach make such statements and potentially alienate a player we know so little about? It's true, he may not be good enough for the YNT right now but I sincerely doubt the FMF did much scouting when it came to Biyik.

    Foot, meet mouth.

So anyways, I was standing waiting to use the pay phone.

And this guy who was on the phone, turns around and tips his hat.

And who do you think that guy was?

    Emilio.

I swear to God, I was there.

    I was like, "Emilio."

The kid is only 15 correct, so maybe that is where el Potro is coming from, Can Emilio qualify to the next sub-17 cycle?

    He was born in 95.

Actually, I do not think he would still qualify for 2013

2011 is for those born in 1994 and after.

2013 would be 1996 and after.

    Is this correct?

You are correct this year's is his one and only chance to play an under-17 world cup......

if that useless shit potro gutierrez really said that then he should be fired on the basis of being retarded.

I think like Vasco said, this would be his only chance to play in the U17 WC.

But that's besides the point. Potro might be right in the sense that it may be too late to integrate the kid into the team since there are other kids who have been the whole cycle and have "earned" their place but his comments are beyond ridiculous. He's basically setting a very high standard for all the other kids in the same age group that haven't been selected for the youth NTs.

A Messi type? When have ever produced a player with the quality of Messi?

He is steadily progressing, he says he is starting with the U-19 in his club, he plays CDM and CB. He wants to play for the national team, at 16 he should probably be looked at by mex U-17.
