 defending on that Greek goal. Keeper to blame too.
    Boenisch is Polish?

I guess he, like Polanski, decided that he wouldn't have a chance playing for Germany's A team so he switched to Poland. Both of them played on Germany's youth teams if I'm not mistaken.

The Greek forward was celebrating the penalty, only to see his skipper miss it. Can someone please make a comparative gif of the 2 expressions. Please. Pretty please.:p

This has to be the funniest game in a Euro Cup ever.

Poland should count themselves lucky if they don't lose this match. Greece just had a goal ruled off for an offside.

It was just a hair offside. Poland is lucky they haven't conceded another to be quite honest.

terrible game to start the euro.. but it had it all, pk, red cards, goals, goalie subs, unfair calls, uncalled pk etc..

He opened his body on that PK like a slutty college freshman opens her legs. About as easy of a read as it gets for any decent keeper.

Very entertaining game to start the tournament! Some questionable calls from the ref and Poland really should have won, but it can hopefully only get better from here. :)

Here come my dark horse team... Russia should have no problem with the Czechs.

So much of the Russian team comes from Zenit and CSKA they are bound to already have a good chemistry going on the pitch.

The Russian captain Arshavin and the Czech captain Rosicky are from the same club (Arsenal).
Name any 2 other such Euro Cup games when both the captains were with the same club.
    :)

Impressed by the Russians so far. Quick short passes, incisive counter, all in all fun to watch.

Anyone else notice that Milan Baros looks down while running. Doesn't look for his team mates or where the opposing keeper/players are.

2-0 Russia. A great through ball to Shirokov, but Cech should have done better there.
