http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2954724/posts Ha ha ha ha ha it was soooo hilarious when thousands of Pompeiians died!!!! http://hillbuzz.org/1018pm-cst-bara...-official-election-results-watch-thread-73447 And on and on and on....
Swear by talk radio and Fox, swear off NPR and The New York Times, and that's what you get -- gibbering idiocy. Something tells me this guy isn't chastened in the least, that he instead has doubled down in his beliefs and is that much more confident in how he and his sources are right.
It's hard to make good predictions when voter fraud is so rampant. I mean, how could Nate Silver get all those sates right if he weren't in on the conspiracy?
If I had a dollar for every Black person I've told, "Gays don't affect you or me, but bigotry affects us both", well, I'd have a lot of dollars. Homophobia is a legitimate issue for a lot of Black folks. It ties in with overdepedence on Biblical interpretation that's never helped anyone of color, really. I'm glad your friends and voters like them didn't capsize the ship by staying home or voting Romney.
Nate Silver is a gay Jew. Coincidence? I think not. [/Free Republic "reader"] I'm actually tempted to start a rumor that Nate Silver is George Soros' nephew and thus knew how the election would turn out because Uncle George owns voting machine companies.
I'm sure he has. Considering that in the live PBP of his election night he says that Nate Silver predicted Obama would win Georgia and Arizona.
Good point. I know they operate differently in Black and White communities, but i am far from knowledgeable about this subject being as ive been an atheist since i was old enough to think logically and have pretty much ignored churches/religion as much as possible since that point. I guess the difference is extremely pronounced with something like voting?
Yeah, the oversimplified way to put it is that black churches advocate for the community while white churches advocate for their teaching.
That actually scared me a little-- if he's that wrong about a matter of easily determinable fact, not even peripheral fact to what he is doing... well, what chance is there that his reality testing ever improves?
No chance. He's like the lifer Commie defenders, the ones who even in the Seventies and Eighties clung to the notion of the inevitability of capitalist collapse due to inevitable historic forces. Nothing to be done about those people but wait for them to die.
Alright that's bad. Which reminds me, I remember as a high school freshman thinking that when I was 50 years old that the U.S no longer would have age-of-consent laws. Because everybody knew those laws were silly. Kids were or were not going to have sex for their own reasons, and if they did there was nothing wrong or immoral or warped about it. So I said to myself, aha the older folks are strange and sexually repressed, but when my generation makes the rules we'll stop with that nonsense. Riiiight.
