I guess our shitty fitness/conditioning partly explains why we have such a hard time keeping up with the Koreas (even the NoKos).
Yoyo isn't exactly "new" in China, the CSL/Jia A have been using a Chinese adapted version of it at least since '99 or 2000. I think part of the issue is that the league here has only been professional since '94, before that we're talking about amateur players. The league has come a long way in training techniques, especially with foreign coaches, but there's still a ways to come. I know that Guoan's manager gave all the players specialized training plans to follow during the offseason and when they came back to camp, he said it was obvious a number of them hadn't followed them.
thanks, the explanation make it seem like it is more complicated than a endurance test with all the maths in it.
a japanese fan made a page to devote for china team. kenzhi, is that you? http://www2.ucatv.ne.jp/~nionio.sea/china/
So the team has left training to Changsha for the game now (working now, can't post pics). Camacho has make the following announcement: New captain: Sun Xiang (cfb, you might need to integrate him back to FIFA again lol) Vice captain: Gao Lin Vice captain: Zhao Xuri The Chinese media spectulates that Camacho gave the captaincy in the order of caps. Also, the captaincy was originally given to Zheng Zhi, because of Zheng Zhi's absense, Sun Xiang becomes the captain. It is not sure if the captaincy announcement is permanent tho.
Seeing the best Chinese centre back actually play (never mind start) is starting to seem like an impossible dream lmao I'll make him captain (I had Yang Zhi before) I didn't actually have it in me to remove him because I'm a big fan of him haha.

Nevertheless, I will still wake up at 19:35 to make sure I am not missing the match.
Starting Lineup: Zeng Cheng Liu Jianye, Zhao Peng, Feng Xiaoting, Zheng Zheng Zhao Xuri, Lv Peng Hao Junmin, Chen Tao, Yu Hanchao Gao Lin (C)
just realize my sopcast isn't showing cctv 5 anymore LOL. if anyone got links, please post them here apparently: there's no link cctv5 won't show the match live. let's hope there's highlight soon
It makes me so angry that with ITalkBB internet, we get 40 Chinese channels and no CCTV5 or other sports channels!!
Highlights: http://sports.sina.com.cn/g/video/2014CFT/zhongguo_keweite/ Gao Lin's goal is pretty nice. When the game doesn't count, everyone plays at 100%, when it does, 50%, story of the NT! If there ever was a world cup of friendlies, I think China would win it...
Good result a clean sheet is always a good thing. Here's hoping for the official defense to consist of Wu Xi (instead of Liu Jianye) and Zhang Linpeng (instead of Zhao Peng)
As a Kuwaiti, I apologize for that disgraceful performance. And I apologize for the idiotic move that Talal Nayef made in the first half (i.e. when he kicked the Chinese player). China deserved the victory and the Kuwaiti players ought to be ashamed of themselves. I hope they enjoyed their splendid tourist tour around China and the rest of the Far East, because that's all it ever seemed to be, since the start. It was never about preparing the team for its do-or-die match against S. Korea; rather, it was about the Kuwaiti players enjoying the Chinese food and culture. Did we even have a defense? Our formation must have been 0-0-0-10; 0 defenders, 0 midfielders, 0 attackers and 10 daydreamers. I only feel sorry for our goalie. I'm still waiting to see Waleed Ali open his own hair salon. I'm a girl but even I don't take care of my looks as much as some of these Kuwaiti players do. If they put the same amount of effort into their football that they do to their hairstyles, we wouldn't be in this do-or-die situation in the first place.
From the best of my knowledge, it was Kuwait's first team, which will start against S. Korea next week. There might have been a few absentees, due to injuries, but that's about it. We got pretty humiliated for a first team LOL.
There's no humiliation in losing to us. We may not do well in WC related matches or any real competitive matches for that matter these days but we're the king of friendlies. You'll do better in S Korea. A lot less sightseeing stuff to do there.
kutsuit, you dun need to apologize for the kuwaiti team. i do admit my comment was particularly distasteful. what the particular players have done can't represent the whole kuwait.
