Maidana got injured and a 19 year old with only 2 professional games on his track record replaced him. It was bound to happen.

I'm not sure about three clear penalties. Yeah there was contact but hardly enough for the gunshot wounds I saw.

We'll be sure to give back the 3 points.

Anyway, let's put this baby to bed.

Perhaps you are correct, but what is more clear is that Carrizzo is playing more like the cat whom many of us ragged on for years than like the allegedly clear cut #1 arquero you have been proclaiming him to be.

you've already admitted that the goals were his fault, in the biggest game he's been invloved in for amnny years, he played very poorly.

At the moment, I don't rate him better than Andujar at Catania, whom had a great match today. That kid has grown up quite a bit in the last 2 years.

As for the clasico, i thought river was the better team. If this game this year is at the Monumental, a different outcome IMO.

i disagree with you completely and so does the tecnico of the seleccion, for whom Carrizo is the starter

did you Casillas the other day? Whiffed a kick that lead to a goal, then misplayed a cross that led to the second... i didn't hear people calling for Casillas to not be Spain's #1 any more

Carrizo had an off day. If you've watched River this season you'd know he's saved our a$$e$ plenty of times, particularly against Racing when we had 10 men

    Ganamos!!!

Lets see if I can do this...

Lucchetti 8: Excellent game. He came out with confidence in the crosses, and had some good saves, especially a free kick by Lamela and one against Pavone in the 2nd half.

Clemente 3: He was playing poorly, getting beat, not joining play well, and then he got kicked out. Even though Almeida was by far the bigger asshole, Clemente allowed him to provoke him and got out of line himself. Now he's out for the next game, just when Monzon is leaving and Cellay is still doubtful.

Caruzzo 6: Solid defending for the most part. I think the better half of central defense today.

Insaurralde 4: He was worrying me. Always playing on the edge of what the ref allows, and fortunately it didn't backfire.

Monzon 8: He says he scored the first goal. I don't think so, but he did bother Carrizo. And he saved one on the other end, at least I think it was him. Other than that, he had maybe his best game at Boca, in what might be his very last game. He defended well and joined the attack well.

Chavez 7: Nice game by Pochi. Not great defending but he's improving and is growing as a player who works hard and is active all over the field.

Somoza 5: Worked hard and he's a fighter, so I don't want to grade him too low, but he gets out of position sometimes and is too slow to recover, and it's a good thing River didn't take advantage of it.

Colazo 5: I love this kid, but he really didn't do much today, sometimes I was forgetting that he was playing.

Riquelme 6: Not a good game by his standard, he wasn't the difference maker he usually is, although he did help keep possession with his intelligent play in the 2nd half. I don't think he's physically 100 percent.

Mouche 7: He created danger, he just needs to finish better.

Palermo 10: Well, he got his goal, and it's his last superclasico so I'll be generous.

    Viatri, Erviti, Noir: No classification

River: Carrizo and Almeida get a zero, obviously for different reasons. But they all really played like crap, nobody stood out or did much, except maybe Lamela but the poor kid had nobody to play with.

On Goal.com it stated that Lamela was the stand out player for River, I think playing in the current River side is going to convince him to leave for europe a.s.a.p.

It's kind of a win-win situation. Everybody is happy.

Boca fans are celebrating because we beat River in La Bombonera yet again. River fans are celebrating because Martín Palermo is retiring.

Very happy for Martin Palermo, Boca legend and good guy.

As for the gayinas, it would be really funny if they end up in the second division. For sure, Lamela needs to get out of that circus should that happens.

Great for Palermo, hopefully he'll score enough goals in the remaining matches to surpass that old grouchy smurf of Sanfilippo.
