EL SALVADOR-COSTA RICA AVAILABLE ON PAY-PER-VIEW
World Cup Qualifier will be shown in USA and Canada

HOBOKEN, NJ---Costa Rica will face EL Salvador in a World Cup Qualifying match on September 9th at 9 pm ET/6pm PT live on pay-per-view in the USA and Canada via DirecTV, Dish Network, TVN, Bell TV, Viewer's Choice, Shaw and StarChoice. The match is presented by Integrated Sports & Traffic Sports USA and the suggested retail price is 24.95.

Costa Rica currently lead CONCACAF Group Qualifying with 12 points, but the Ticos’ spot in the World Cup is far from assured. Costa Rica lost their last match 4-0 to Honduras as Carlo Costly scored a pair of goals in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. It was only the second defeat suffered by the Ticos in the hexagonal or final round of World Cup Qualifying, and their first loss to Honduras since 2005.

Costa Rica has one more qualifying game before the September 9th match, just four days earlier, when they face resurgent Mexico at home in San Jose.

El Salvador has struggled in its attempt to qualify for the World Cup, and currently sit in fifth place, four points behind Mexico.

El Salvador lost their last Qualifier, 1-0 to Trinidad and Tobago. The game marked the debut of 24-year-old Arturo Alvarez, an American-born midfielder who plays for the San Jose Earthquakes in Major League Soccer. Alvarez was born in Houston and played for U.S. youth teams at the U-17, U-18 and U-20 levels, but changed his national team status to the homeland of his parents earlier this year, when FIFA altered its rules.

El Salvador still have a chance to earn a trip to South Africa, but will need to pick up points against higher-placed teams in their four remaining qualifying games. The first must face the United States in Sandy, Utah on Sept 5. They then play Mexico on October 10 and Honduras on October 14.

Three teams from CONCACF will automatically qualify for next year’s World Cup, while the fourth place finisher will play the fifth place team from South America.

Reminds me why i never liked Rceveda and all the other Honduran posters back in the day. When they are down and out they try and act all humble, but when they get a win they let it get to their heads and all of a sudden become unbeatable

what the heck catracho, no need for that crap....ES has played hell of good soccer and you think their intention is to loose? all those freaking close games we lost could have been ties and a win againt trinidad, we outplayed honduras in their own yard.

very true cuscatleco, they act humble but when they're on the cloud they think they can judge us and talk unecessary crap.

ES has a lot of pride and will play to win against CRC, don't doubt that!

there is a lot that can happen between those four teams, only one point separtes them right now, first can easly drop to four, and there is no way in hell that 4th will beat argentina!

honeslty I think ES has done one hell of a job and has blown me away..hats off.
I just hope ES doesnt feel motivate anymore to win games.
And no you didnt "out" play us on our yard but truly played good! no bunkering or fouling like girls.

Yes we outplayed you guys completely, and what are you talking about no bunkering or fouling like girls that is all the home team did.

Good Luck in Mexico you guys will need it, Mexico and ES have the same playing style they're just a lot better at finishing plays than us, having said that Honduras will lose 3-0.

is all good catracho, it is what it is we have 5 and you have 13, and have earned the right to make it one foot close the the WC.

I disagree with my paisano, Honduras won't loose no 3-0 to Mexico, in fact mexico got lucky in the previous round, when honduras was winning 1-0 w/ 15 minutes left.... now one thing though, Mexico seem that theyre getting back in good football rythym and may win but close, though I predict a 1-1 draw.
