El Salvador U20's - Road to WC 2015 (New Zealand): Part 1

Mauricio Alfaro is back at work with the next crop of U20 players naturally FESA leads the way with a crop of players, but now with the reserves being forced to start an U20 side this should add more competition in each position.

There is talks of doing another scouting trip into the states. Also by the sound of it Hugo is also looking into other U20 players he did bring us Baum hopefully he can find some gems, who will push the national players.

The U20 played a friendly against Atlético Marte they won 1-0 but the game was called at the 85th due to some non-football activity. IIRC this is the second time this has happened, a similar situation happened with the last U20 pool.

The U20 played a friendly with Firpo the game ended in a scoreless draw.

 

The only worrisome thing is both goals came of FK's.

 

They didn't because they wanted them to concentrate with the league plus I bet FESA spoke about it as well. So far this season FESA was mad disappointing.

 

Tuco has called up 32 players.

Good to see that a lot of these players are at least in the reserves of the first division instead of only relying on FESA.

 

Another goal giving off a set piece that worries me about the type of marking or lack thereof, as well as the keeper and his actions as the play happens.

 

Latest call up among them Josue Hernandez who scored two goals for Martel in this tournament has been called.

They play FAS today can't say if Hernandez is with the squad.

 

I think a lot of positives is that these group has a few player getting first team minutes, which makes it a more competitive camp as compared to the last crop which was very limited.

 

Correction they play FAS tomorrow.
