What I always wondered why get coaches like El Tuco and Rugamas? What were there past coaching experience? I don't think the Federation will spend much if they get a coach from their own league. These youth teams need someone who can teach them, know the league well, and know each youth player well. They don't need a winning coach yet, to do that they need to attract them first. First they need to play well together and get some pretty good or decent results. They don't need to win anything at first. Just like how La Selecta did when they had DLC, you gotta start all over and do it from the beginning.
Like i dont wanna sound like a hater or anything but seriously Rugamas and el Tuco i dont have faith in them yeah from time and time they might pick up a win or two but i rather see them as assisant coaches then National team coaches i mean how much does the federation pays a coach i think it's $25,000 i guess in there budget they can't get a more better coach like Honduras i think they pay Luis Suarez like $50,000 but that's what i mean i would rather have coaches like Bonchiche Portillo,Ramiro Cepeda,Juan ramon sahchez or Toto Gamarra then these 2 jokers i mean seriously i bet they can work a great team for the sub 17 and sub 20 levels.
I think some of you are forgetting we are talking about El Salvador. We have no history of Development of Youth Soccer, Organization, Money, Structure...All we will have is diamonds in the rough. And that wont even change...
They can start from scratch trying to develop a better youth soccer and it doesn't have to be a fast process as long we see change. Now money might not be an issue if you find the coach within their own league, with FESA coaches it might be even cheaper, and they already know about half of the players. With the Federation we have now it isn't bad as before but the organization should be good enough for now. Now structure to have structure you need to start everything from scratch in order to have structure. Now if money is that bad then why not get a coach from 2nd division that keeps winning titles in El Salvador's league I think they would be more than happy to represent the country. I think 25,000 might be more than they get in their league.
They were paying Israel $25,000 they don't pay the youth coaches that much. Personally I would like to see the FESA coaches take over the U 20 and U17 teams over our league coaches. FESA coaches have a better track record of developing players then any of the league coaches
Yea, FESA coaches would be great. At the youth level though it will always stay local, they just have to be schooled properly.
Tuco has to wait till Friday to get an answer on his plans from FESFUT. In his plan is Maikon & Martin I'm hoping this plan goes through he has asked for 17 games 6 being international so we shall see. http://www.laprensagrafica.com/depo...91-el-plan-de-la-sub-20-hasta-el-viernes.html
I highly doubt those 6 international will get through. Most likely about 3 the most but hopefully they get 6 that would be good preparation for their qualification games.
I hope if those get pushed through its against quality opponents not the same like Rugamas wants as an example (the rest of the CA teams your going to face).
I agree I don't care if they're against low level international teams from European, South America, Asia, African, or Oceania countries. They need new experience and learn to get use to different playing styles that they haven't played against. Most of these CONCACAF international teams already know how each team plays especially the Central American teams.
Alfaro wants to get started next month in his agenda he has Maikon and Marvin in his plans. Maikon would arrive in November and Marvin in January in order to see how he would incorporate them. http://www.laprensagrafica.com/depo...282215-alfaro-quiere-iniciar-el-otro-mes.html
Not sure if this should also go with the Abroad thread but Marvin has started the last two games with FC Zurich's U21 side that plays in the Swiss 3rd division. He also played some minutes with the first team in a friendly on September 7 if everything goes well he should arrive to join the U20 team in January. http://selectatalent.com/index.php/...icias/275-marvin-baumgartner-por-buenos-pasos
The U20 will begin training on Monday around 20-30 players are being called now if this is counting the one abroad & rush soccer probably not. http://www.laprensagrafica.com/depo.../285907-sub-20-arranca-la-proxima-semana.html
The U20 have began working as the first list of players called for these practices are out once again FESA dominates the list. http://www.elsalvadorfc.com/2012-10-07-sub20-inicio-trabajo Nónima de jugadores sub 20 1. Edwin Andrés Morataya/C.D. Marte Soyapango 18. Alexander Suazo/C.D. UES 19. Gustavo Alegría/C.D. Vendaval Apopa 20. Roberto Alexis González/Santa Tecla FC Question now is which players abroad Alfaro will bring in among those he has looked into are Maikon Orellana (Brondby, Dinamarca) Oliver Ayala (Pachuca, México) Diego Coca (Rush Soccer, USA) Nicolás Escalante (Academia de Chivas USA) José Anthony Dheming (Academia de Chivas USA) interesting no mention of Marvin Baumgartner
Given his age they might have him with the reserves they do have a Brondby 2 like the teams Lester & Jaime are on. But he still should be recovering from his injury.
Either if he plays for the reserves or the main squad he is still a great soccer player i think Brondby will fall in love with the style of Maikon
They did love his style quickly he didn't even do a complete trial because that's when he got the hamstring injury and they still signed him up. Same time that was only his first stop in what was supposed to be a tour of clubs around Europe similar to what Blanco & Edwin did last summer. But so far the team isn't doing so well they are at the bottom of the tablet with a record of 1-5-6.
Interview with el Tuco Alfaro on the difficulty of the reserves not having 18 year old players and more on the U20 & senior teams elimination. http://www.laprensagrafica.com/Movil/las-reservas-tienen-que-ser-de-18-anos
They are very close to confirming the U20 next friendly and training they are headed to Peru to play two games the training will be from thee 13-19. http://www.laprensagrafica.com/sub-20-se-foguearia-ante-peru-en-diciembre
Hopefully these Friendlies get Confirmed. They would do our guys some good opposition. Wonder if any of the Foreigners Tuco plans on calling will make the trip?
The last mention was Maikon should be called up to the team next month once he recovers naturally. Martin not until January. Also the ones who are in Rush Soccer and Pachuca should be called up.
