We'll be fine without Fito for the DR game and the Cayman Islands game. Time for someone else to step up. I pray Mr. Israel does not play Rudis much, we all know what he is capable of . Up top it will most likely be Bautista and Lester Blanco(Fitos replacement). Ruben said he may include sub 23 guys, hopefully we see new faces.

I think a better option would be to bring back william reyes and bring along a young player like lestor blanco, christian batista or others

I'm sick of seeing Edwin Sanchez get called up. He literally dribbles the ball away and doesn't have a good eye for passing. I'd prefer Cristian Castillo.

Edwin Sanchez has way more upside moving forward. Besides Castillo hasn't played the last few games with Alianza it wouldn't surprise me if he is hurt again. I think Edwin Sanchez is worth being patient on because he shows flashes of a really promising player he just needs to be more consistent.

I honestly don't get the appeal of wanting Castillo back on the NT he is 27 and has struggled to get consistent playing time throughout his mid twenties which is when he should have had his best years. Yeah he had some good games for the National team a few years ago but he hasn't really grown as player much since his early 20's. The younger guys should get a shot they are doing far more at their clubs then guys like Castillo are and it will make our NT stronger in the future.

Castillo is history...I gave up on him. Regarding Edwin Sanchez he is still very young and Im glad he got called over Rudis. I am worried we may have trouble finishing plays and scoring with all these young guys. We'll see, most have been playing well for their respective clubs.

T&T lost today so things could be worse for us. I am starting to have my doubts about Israel but pulling ugly away results is part of the process so its hard to be to upset about this game.

With this level of play and considering that (as someone said) only 1 goal separated DR from ES...is anyone concerned of Suriname? who i feel might be a tougher competitor (or at least around the same level as DR) just because they are 2 points behind us after 3 matches

Instead of getting stronger seems like we diminished, BUT i won't jump to conclusions and say its the end of the world because it was just one match and hopefully by the time this round is over i can be somewhat confident in La Selecta going up against los ticos and mexicans

Yeaaah, but still the attitude is pathetic. God I can remember last cuadrangular with Surinam, Haiti and Costa Rica...same thing happened when we went abroad...tight

Its going to be tough for Suriname to catch us if we beat the Cayman Islands in our next game. They would then have to beat us in Suriname and tie us in ES. That is a lot to ask from a team that could only beat the Cayman Islands by 1 goal at home.

Yeah the attitude of the team and some of the tactical decisions are why I am beginning to doubt Israel hopefully they get their act together by next round.

Yeah but if he has guys that are mailing it in then its time to change up the lineup. The D.R. is an opponent where playing the 3rd guy in the depth chart isn't really going to hurt you so he shouldn't let anyone get comfortable thinking their spots are safe. The coach can do a lot to change the attitude of a team yet Israel has not only not done much to change the collective attitude in these few games he has justified it afterwards.

In terms of tactics he knows our defense is very weak yet he has done very little to correct some of the mistakes we keep seeing in the back. Our defense hasn't really improved much since Israel took over its still very easy for any team to break them down.
