Is it true that people are asking to not go to the first leg in protest of Vucetich's firing? If so then man, we're destroying ourselves...

Ppphhht. We're 2nd to last in the tabla son. Everything works on us.

What I'd like to clarify is that my opinion about the really shameful firing of Vucetich is separate from my opinion of Piojo's qualifications. I like Herrera and think he'll do a good job, but this was not the way I wanted to see him get the position.

This almost makes me miss Chepo. We sucked, but administratively we looked like professionals with some semblance of structure.

Now we just suck, and we look like a bunch of f***ing clowns. I'll bet this job looks real tempting to Bielsa now huh?If I were Piojo I'd insist on a Hiddink style dual club-selección job, as a hedge against potential unemployment.

I have a feeling Compean is going to be hard to get rid of.

I mean look at this guy, he gives the impression of one of those corrupt old guys. Have any of the decisions regarding the youth teams that have brought us success been from him?

IMO, this is one of the worst things that could come out of this debacle. Apparently, Manuel Pellegrini was offered the chance to manage the national team after the world cup in 2010, but he declined. And that brings us to that footage of Chepo after the loss to Panama in the gold cup. That footage of Chepo being pelted with trash and other shit by pissed off fans--what foreign coach in his right mind is going to see that and think, "Gee, that job looks really tempting."
