I don't know why you people keep thinking that winning gold medals in a final facing teams like Brazil is underperforming or talent being squandered.

Like I said, the third keeper spot will be between Moi and Memo, and it would not surprise me if he takes Moi.
It is unbelievable that Gio would even be a question mark.

They kept saying on the ultima palabre that Piojo won't necessarily take the best players, but the players that best fit his system.....A competent coach works with the best players so they can adapt to the system, players that can decide a game for you..Besides, what is so great about Piojo's system?

Who dafuc is this Vasquez cat?

There is still a chance Televisa or the sponsors will influence him into taking Memo. But I think that if he does, Memo will once again warm the bench.

Gio has been without a doubt one of our best players in the last several years. next to Vela, Gio has been the player most excelling in Europe this past season alone. to leave him off the WC could very well be the stupidest decision a NT coach has ever made.

yes, even worse than leaving Temoc out of the 2006 WC and starting Guille in 2010

and don't even get me started on Memo. it's bad enough he's probably not gonna be the starter but to be 3rd choice keeper and have to compete with that tub of lard Moises?!

why do Mexican coaches always find a way to make the worst of royal fuck ups when the WC rolls around?

Nothing, it's a shit system designed for shitty players.
why do think none of our good players fit in this system?
shit players will always say yes to anything a shit manager ask of them, good player not always say yes, which are easier to deal with?
That is what Herrera likes shit easy to manage players.

looking to me like 3 and out, if with our best players the world cup looked hard now with piojo's boys I expect the worst world cup ever. keep in mind that the old pre-86 world cups were awful for us those were 16 team world cups. the current is a 32 nations tournament, not making it out of the group stages will make it our worst WC ever.

Mexico might make it out of the group stages, but I doubt will make it to that quinto partido. Keep in mind Maza and Marquez will be starters. Not the fastest defenders anymore. Not that Maza ever was. lol,

Well to be realistic, if we ever want to see Memo and Gio and possibly Vela as starters, Mexico must fail at the WC so piojo gets fired.

But what if we get to the 5th game? Bye bye Gio Vela and Memo for piojos reign.

But let's not forget that the question really is whether to take Marco Fabian or Gio....I think Gio wins out on this one. To me is just unbelievable that Gio would even be in question.

tbf, if we get to the 5th game, we can't really criticize Piojo...

I really doubt we get past the group stages if this happens though. I used to be nervous about Brazil and Croatia but now I'm nervous about all three of them. We look THAT bad.

16 or 32 nations or whatever, it will be pretty hard to top 1978. Besides it's not like it was that tough to get there at that time.
