Gooch is, again, in the squad for Malaga: http://www.malagacf.com/es/noticia/sergio-sanchez-novedad-convocatoria/66771
Great read. Gooch seems like he would make for a very good interview. I'd imagine sooner or later the manager will tinker with the line up to get some success. Hope Gooch can step in and hold down a spot.
Indeed! So positive, mature.... I hope guys who are younger and NT players take notice, and learn from this guy and his crazy life/career. I am sure he'll make for an amazing read (when he writes a book) when he retires. For sure one of my favorite players.
Over at No Short Corners, they said Gooch scored in the training match this week, helping the first team over the reserves. http://www.noshortcorners.com/2012/10/we-have-gooch-sighting.html
They won today 2-1. No Gooch again. I guess sooner or later, maybe next year he'll make an appearance.
We all know how difficult it is for anyone anywhere to break in to an eleven that is playing so well.
I still think they got him for CL games when there is an aerial threat. Making the bench consistently for such a good team is quite good though.

Edit: Tried to reformat game schedule. Still looks like poop.
Just suprised it would take almost 2months though. Then again it took him a month or 2 at SPORTING and that went kinda alright once he got his games in.
The current Gooch has always done well in training, that is why he always used to get playing time with the NATS even if he looked bad on the field.
CB and GK are the most difficult to break-in if the incumbents are doing their job. They are only subbed out if there is an emergency, the positions don't demand rotation except in the most crowded of schedules and tinkering with different players if performance doesn't demand it can lead to a coach's early demise.
Nice. Gooch has now appeared twice in the CL. Once for Milan and once against. EDIT: Ooops, completely wrong. He has played for standard in CL qualifying.
I recall their 2008 game where they nearly beat Liverpool to make it to the group stage. I forgot he made an appearance for Milan in the CL though
Oh and I was curious about how Sporting was doing so far in the league. I don't speak any Portuguese but ESPN has them at 12th place after 6 games. No idea but I would guess they're missing a little bit Gooch right now.
