Ed's latest weekend update is on the barra site. i managed to get the entire thing up in one go this week...http://barra-brava.com/news/article.asp?id=174
Ed has exactly a week and a half to get into Barra game shape. He can start tonight by doing some 12 oz. curls while watching DC destroy the Pumas pups. Nice write up dude, thanks...
Ed, we HAVE to do your banner idea when the Space Cadets come to visit us in August. That is fantastic.
On the banner, I'm more surprised that I remembered not only what it would say, but who I was talking to when I thought of it! Both of us looking forward to the Nationals, I thought you would like this picture - particularly looking beyond the right-center field wall to the right of the clock.
Well, even if you count the Senators, we got 4 championships to their 1. You know, I was just thinking. I know this is lunacy to some and would never get off the ground, but anyway ... have any of you ever seen a game from Oakland? The A's fans have a section of folks that yell, sing, beat on drums, beat on the backs of pots and pans, all that stuff. Makes for a nice soundtrack in the background. I think the Barra ought to just buy out a section at a Nationals game one night and go apesh!t for 9 innings. It'd be priceless on a couple fronts ... 1) The reaction you'd get from the other fans. 2) The reaction you'd get from CSC ... as in, oh crap! They're baseball fans, too!!! I don't know, I have a weird sense of humor like that.
Heh. I finally remembered the wording of the one I was talking about. The one I'd seen suggested (by Sanguine, I think it was) was something like "Don't get homesick, Landon; it's just an away game."
I'm lookin at what that dude is using to chalk the grass, I gotta get me one of those. Spraycans are rough on fingers
