The game today must be in TB, the field does not have horrible lines across the field.

I think Dark Night does not think there are enough Edmonton fans.

Hmmm, that's too bad. Personally, that seems like a bit of a chicken & egg argument. I'd bet the sub-forum would have more activity than many of the other threads still out there. For example, I post most of the Edmonton stuff under the news thread because there's nowhere else to post it. Also, I'm lazy and don't want to post news articles in mutliple forums.

So Eddies fans, what to make of the most recent slide in results for the team? It didn't seem like the lineup changes made much difference in the results for the last game. Where does your coach go from here?

Yeah, bad loss to PRI, but a better showing against the Strikers last sunday. Missing Saiko and Porter still though. Rein Baart played a good game in goal.

Any results on a sub-thread to FC Edm?

The team got a point out of two game trip to PR. In game one, PRI scored in 90+2. In game two, with PRI shorthanded due to the PR National team, FCE took a 1-0 lead and were dominating play only to conceed a goal on a defensive error. End result in game 2 was 1-1.

Solid post-game write-ups can be found at http://the11.ca/category/nasl-usl/

Now the Eddies have a 3 game homestand vs. Atlanta, NSC Minnesota & Fort Laud. that will determine playoff position.

Thanks for posting the link to the game report. I don't usually find this site when I search for news. Now I have another place to look for info about the Eddies.

I think the Eddies can beat Atlanta and Minnesota, 2 out of 3 on the homestand should keep them in the playoff spot. Montreal is knocking at the back door though if they can win a few of there last games.

Back in early June, a forum was started by the Edm. Supporters Group (ESG) at http://www.edmontonsoccerfans.com/forums .
It has been a primary source of "local" discussions and coordination.

Otherwise occasional discussions can be found on the Voyageurs board http://www.cansoc.org/forumdisplay.php?40-Montreal-Impact-FC-Edmonton-amp-NASL

There are FCE fans out there, but maybe there are too many forums. I see the Big Soccer site as a good source for NASL discussion in advance of matches. Also it might be good for discussing transfers and building up rivalries.

The Voyageurs board is valuable when discussing Cancon (Nutrilite Championship, etc.) and such.

The ESG board is alot more about local activities and player talk... I think.

Nevertheless, an invite to the BigSoccer board has been posted on the ESG forum.

I would disregard that advice and convince everyone to post here, in Edmonton's own forum. ;)

    Congrats!

Hey all what's going on? I have been a fan of the eddies for awhile now! I am very happy to see Porter come play at United. You all might think it is weird an American supports this club but it's not! I am a big Oilers fan and thought FCE would be a great club to support!

Clarke has looked good in the U-20's IMO.

Too bad they had to face the USA in the do or die match.

Two reasons to not post at bigsoccer.
    1. It is is elitist, snobby, and douchy around here.
    2. I still can't post a new topic to let you guys know that the ESG (Edmonton Supporters Group) has their website up and running. See reason #1.

    3. People continual post items almost completely irrelevant to the subject.

Instead of posting snark, try contacting a admin or a moderator to help you. You seem to be a lone exception if you have been on BS for 6+ months and can't post a new thread.

People, if you have a problem, tell someone. Just don't be a whiner and a jerk. It makes the whole posting experience much better, for everyone.
