I'm confused as to why Edmonton doesn't have it's own forum.

I don't know why the moderator gods don't give each team their own forum.

You have to request a forum and have 10 posters

(I think that's silly. Just put one up for every team and let the fans do what they will.)

If you can get 8 more posters here, maybe they will create a Edmonton Forum.

Only 3 more posters here, will get the 10 posts needed for the Edmonton Forum. I know there are a lot of regular posters in the NASL subforums who haven't posted to make it happen. How about some of you post really quickly so this team can have a forum? Heck, the Scorpions already have a forum and they don't even play until next year! Come on BS regulars - get to it.

That's why the 10-poster minimum is a silly rule, IMO. All teams should have a forum regardless of their popularity. And why do the Portland Timbers still have a forum in the USL Pro board? I'm just nitpicking, but some rules defy reason.

For example, if the moderator gods put up a forum for the new Ottawa franchise without a petition, maybe the casual fans would be prompted to contribute to it out of simple curiosity and soccer brotherhood. Then the potential Ottawa fans would realize, Hey there's a place for us on BS! I dunno.

Well chicken and egg I assume, why create a folder if fans do not care about posting on the topic?

Would fans post more if there was a team folder?

Plus it would be unfair if it was at the moderators whims to decide what teams get folders and which do not.

10 posters is more democratic.

It is a no brainer... Edmonton is here for the long haul.. They are doing things right. They deserve a forum even more than the San Antonio Scorpions which hasn't played one minute of football yet.

No Forum yet, what up with that?

I've been a lurker on Big Soccer since 2003... but don't post often mainly because the lack of an Edmonton forum makes it difficult to find threads I'm interested in. FC Edmonton is a active member of the NASL and it only makes sense to have an Edmonton forum here where we can discuss topics of interest across the NASL.

I see that the forum request is definitely over the 10 posts. So what else has to happen to get the forum set up.

I noticed the mods have made some changes recently - including moving St. Louis & Baltimore under the NASL Expansion section. Why not add the FC Edmonton thread too?

I guess contacting SoccerPrime is the next step.

I'm sure Edmonton would have just as much interest and traffic as the other NASL team boards do. They just need to stop making people jump through hoops and get it up already. Before the season ends would be nice......

I contacted SoccerPrime and he agrees that there should be a Edmonton sub-forum.

I am sure the rules are there so people don’t just create a bunch of subfolders that would receive no activity.

I think DarkNight will make a decision sometime this week.
