This is what Dzeko needs to be wary of

The Aguero-Silva-Tevez clan. they pass between each other and constantly spend time with each other, refusing to talk or pass to the other team-mates.

I'm baffled how in a modern team this can happen. ******** city.

Definitely a problem, nothing to scoff at. Those three always play amongst each other, often ignoring other team members and especially attackers like Dzeko.

Anyways, I think even Mancini wised up and will probably start him against Dortmund.

    I think it'll be Aguero-Dzeko up front.

Of course their chemistry is better when they only interact amongst each other. Learn the English language and open yourself up to your other teammates. No wonder their chemistry is better. Your logic is reversed.

    He won :)

Nice to see all the fans vote Dzeko..Well deserved! As for Aguero-Tevez stuff. It was already mentioned and i agree with it. Their style of play is suited against teams who open up room and are all about skill. When it comes to teams who park the bus those 2 aren't good enough so they need more physical presence and aerial threat which Dzeko is clearly better.

The only game Tevez and Aguero was extremely effective was when they smashed Norwich last year lol.

And deservedly so! The big man has earned it with his performances as of late. About Tevez, Aguero and Silva, I think you nailed it. I tend to notice these three are almost always together, and seldom interact with other teammates. That has its effect on the field. I've noticed they ignore the players around them if their Spanish speaking partner is available, even at a reduced chance of success. I wish Mancini did something about this. I hope Ed scores again today, he's been on a fine run.

    BHF that's a good point.
In practice it should work better but in reality it doesn't seem to be that effective.

People think they play exactly the same because they're both short and quick but Aguero is more north-south player with some lateral ability while Tevez is much more about skill. The fact that both are kinda selfish doesn't help. Keep in mind also that they play against teams who mostly defend against them and they haven't been able to break teams down which shows their chemistry really isn't that great..so good point on that one.

Dzeko article in the Manchester news:

Edin Dzeko’s out to be Manchester City top dog

[IMG]Edin Dzeko celebrates scoring in the Champions League against Real Madrid last month
Edin Dzeko has vowed to stay at City and fight to be Roberto Mancini’s number one striker.

The big Bosnian was widely expected to move away from City in the summer, when the Blues were strongly linked with Robin van Persie.

But he has stayed and is now top scorer after crashing in the winner at Fulham on Saturday for his fourth of the season – and three of those goals have been scored coming off the bench, as he did at Craven Cottage, with his first touch.

Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero are seen as Mancini’s main strike force, but the manager has made it plain that he is not afraid to change his front two as he sees fit – and Dzeko is a strong candidate to start against Borussia Dortmund in tomorrow’s vital Champions League group game.

Dzeko himself was wanted by Juventus, AC Milan and Bayern Munich at various points of the summer, but he says he never wanted to leave.

“There is myself and three fantastic strikers so obviously we can’t all play at the same time so sometimes it can be difficult to find your rhythm,” he said.

“You could play one game then be on the bench for the next three and I think confidence is the key to playing at your best, of course.

“Plus the more games you play, the more goals you are likely to score, but as I say, with so many good strikers at the club, that’s how it is going to be and as a player, you accept that and just try your best each time you play and that’s what I do and will continue to do.

“Every time I see a paper – for what seems like for a year or more – there is a story saying that I am leaving City or that I want to go.

“But I’ve never said that so the stories don’t come from me – I’ve always wanted to stay at City and fight for my place and my motto has always been ‘never give up’.

“I hope the City fans, who have always been fantastic towards me, have seen I can score some important goals for the team and that’s what I want to carry on doing.”

Manchester City's Sergio Aguero believes officials favour home-grown players

Mancini praised Dzeko’s powers of concentration from the bench, saying his success as a supersub this season is down to the fact that he involves himself in the game even when watching from the sidelines.

“It is important to have players like him, and Mario, on the bench,” said the Blues manager. “I have four strikers who are all good and it is difficult for me to put two of them on the bench.

“To do what Edin did is difficult, but if you have good concentration when you are on the bench, maybe you can change the game as Edin did on Saturday.

“Mario also helped to change the game – he played well, and had three or four chances to score, and then Edin did get the goal. For a striker ten minutes is enough to have one chance to score.”

Some players laugh and joke when they are sitting on the bench, but history’s great supersubs all had the knack of analysing games, spotting weaknesses in the opposition, and tuning themselves in to games before they set foot on the pitch.

Dzeko has that, says Mancini, who added: “This is why I tell my players that when they are on the bench it is important to concentrate on the game. It is different for a defender or a midfielder – they need more time to get into the match, but for a striker, they just need that one chance.

“Edin does it well – he was concentrating on Saturday!”

You can also google ATDHE and the first two links will have it. It's a good site. Reliable, I use it often. Just make sure that you turn on your anti-virus and don't click links that are way at the bottom if the game is going on. Freshest links are at the top.
