    Boogie Down BRONX!
Funny that they got Tono has a winger, but do they know that he can play volante de contencion as well. After all this is the position he started in.I bet that the only reason they did not vote him for the pelado del mundial 2006 was cause he was Ecua,,had he been Argie,Brasilian,British etc,etc the story would have been different!

Even though Ecuador would have got to the finals,,I still don't think Tono would have gotten that nomination,,,,,I know 4 games are not enough!

What are you rolling your eyes for? Aparently, you thought Valencia should have gotten young player of the tournament because you said so and then proceeded to bet the only reason why he didn't was because he was Ecuadorian.

I disagree...people love revelations in these tournaments. That said, he wasn't the best young player out there anyway - top 10 but not the best! Since Ecuador didn't play more than 4 games, we'll never know.

You don't know what I think,so don't think you know what I'm thinking.Sh!t like this happens all the time, being Ecuadorian hurts many ballers careers. Now you are correct(about time)One of the best youngsters, but not the best.Of course staying longer in the tournament would have probably made a difference,,,but lets be real,he would have never won the nomination.
    :rolleyes::cool:

Of course I don't know what you think...I am going about this based on what you wrote!! What don't you get about that?

As far as getting the nomination, he did get the nomination, he just didn't win it! But if his performance was worthy, why wouldn't he get? A Peruvian has won it, a Belgian has won it, why not an Ecuadorian?

I seriously doubt being Ecuadorian would hurt their career if they aren't good enough, which is usually the case.

That's like saying being Ecuadorian prevents you from scoring goals. If a scout is checking out a Brazilian who scores one goal per game and an Ecuadorian who scores two goals per game, he wouldn't even think twice. Nationality means nothing when it comes to raw talent.

a brazilian will always get preference, and will probably get more serious and thorough scouting TRUST ME!!, i know about this. Most of the time NATIONALITY means just about everything.
if you saw two 10 year old kids who played exactly the same, but one was from el salvador and the other brazilian.. who would you expect to grow up to be the better player?, or who has the most potential.. i think everyone knows the answer.. common sense DICTATES it has to be the brazilian.. blah blah blah i can go on for days about this but i aint bitching its just reality.. thats why ima go have my kids in argentina and brazil...lmaooooooo

I think that Wigan is an excellent choice for him.. but I wonder what French team is interested... if it's a good french team then he should go there.. he would be the first Ecuadorian playing in France.

liverpool backed out because he was already a little expensive, it's only Man U bidding right now and Bruce already admits the impossibility of keeping him if Man U offers because of their huge budget....

Anyway, here's a bit of news I don't understand. I thought Tenorio had a free pass as of this summer....

I hope Valencia can shut down United with Wigan on the final match day as well. That done, and with Chelsea winning their 2 remaining games...the will win the EPL.

I really don't want to see Valencia going to Man U anyway, don't think he'll be getting the playing he would on another team.

2 goals for Benitez as Santos defeats San Luis 4-1. The game was a lot closer than the score makes it seems. San Luis was winning for most of the first half and looked pretty close to tying until Benitez put them away with two beauties.
