In regards of the Rueda issue written above me, am I the only one to notice that Rueda's best moments,
    1) First game winning in Mexico
    2) First half against Paraguay in Copa America
    3) WCQ Win against Venezuela
    4) Victory over USA 3 days later
They all occurred with Valencia on the field? It is amazing how much this one player does for us, either way I was not surprised how we did in Copa America, it's how we roll XD, I wanted Vizuete to stay, but if Rueda does pull even a point tomorrow it will be a first time we walk away with a point from Asuncion let alone a win, so tomorrow Rueda gets tested. he had all players available and healthy for call ups so no excuses, I am not saying he HAS to win, but looking at Paraguay and how it's hurting, we got a good shot tomorrow.
Either way, my prediction and staying humble as always but I got a feeling brothers, Ecuador 2 Paraguay 0

Michael Arroyo and Jorge Guagua are training in La Casa de la Seleccion but aren't guaranteed the call up. Today Alexis Mendoza said that Banguera might not get the call up either since he hasn't been playing. I hope Banguera comes through even though I think Dominguez should get his chance to start now, he's ready for it. NO Elizaga please!!! And no Dreer either!! Screw it, i'll take Adrian Bone!

this is why I say we gotta start looking for Walter Ayovi's replacement.

    http://www.teradeportes.com/futbol/...i-confiesa-que-llego-a-perder-la-confianza-en

I think he knows his times almost up in the NT. Anybody got candidates they think that should replace them? I'm liking Roosevelt Oyola right now. Especially over Cristian ramirez, Mario Pineida, or anyone else that comes to mind because he's at the right age and plays for a team that pressures him all season. He's not the perfect left back, but he's got potential and room for improvement- especially when he has to advance up the field with the ball.

This would not have been a problem if Giovanni Nazareno had not gotten that suspension, but now I agree with you, Ramirez is a good player but isnt he like 18? so Roosevelt Oyola is a good option considering he is familiar with Banguera, Erazo and Campos.

It's questionable about Nazareno. Unfortunately he got that suspension during the time in which Barcelona was on the rise. Before his suspension he wasn't in top form and was actually benched at times in Barcelona. But seeing how JC Paredes has been able to fill in a position where he's being improvised, i'm pretty sure Nazareno would have eventually taken charge of the left back position whenever he had the chance. The few games he had with the NT a while back before Copa America were horrible, but by now I think he would have been capable of handling that position.

I like Roosevelt Oyola's garra when he defends. And the fact that he plays with Banguera, Erazo, and Campos by his side makes him the best candidate right now just like you said. Another player that's improving a lot as time goes by is Carlos Gruezo. Awesome center mid with great defensive qualities. Watch out Segundo Castillo!

what makes me uncomfortable about allowing Nazareno to come back is the same thing that had me reluctant to get Borja back for us. When he's on the field, he's basically useless with an NT jersey.

yeah, for now let's forget Nazareno lol. I saw Roosevelt Oyola killing it yesterday too. I was worried because Reasco had to cover him and it wasn't easy. Dudes consistently making the best starting 11 of the campeonato every week.

you guys see the freakin list??!! RIDICULOUS!

    Arqueros:
    Máximo Banguera (Barcelona)
    Adrián Bone (Deportivo Quito)
    Alexander Domínguez (Liga de Quito).

    Defensas:
    Gabriel Achilier (Emelec)
    Walter Ayoví (Monterrey-México)
    Diego Calderón (Liga de Quito)
    Jairo Campos (Barcelona)
    Frickson Erazo (Barcelona)
    Jorge Guagua (Atlante-México).

    Volantes:
    Segundo Castillo (Pachuca-México)
    Henry León (Independiente del Valle)
    Jéfferson Montero (Morelia-México)
    Juan Carlos Paredes (Deportivo Quito)
    Dennis Quiñónez (El Nacional)
    Luis Saritama (Deportivo Quito)
    Antonio Valencia (Manchester United-Inglaterra).

    Delanteros:
    Juan Luis Anangonó (El Nacional)
    Jaime Ayoví (Al Nassr-Arabia Saudita)
    Christian Benítez (América-México)
    Narciso Mina (Barcelona)Christian Suárez (Santos-México).

Freakin Jorge Guagua again?? after what he did in Argentina! YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! Rueda has NO SHAME! Where's Roosevelt Oyola in this list- that's the BIGGEST QUESTION of the year! Saritama isn't even playing well lately- and wasn't it Rueda that said if you don't get playing time your chances of getting called up will be slim? What a liar! Because freakin Dennis Quinonez doesn't start regularly in El Nacional, yet he's on the list. I'm glad Jaime Ayovi is on the list, but he hasn't played a single game since last April yet he's on the list as well- all contradictory to what Rueda claims are his standards. Henry Leon is in NO WAY performing better than Carlos Gruezo- what's he doing on the list? Dennis Quinonez is a good player but he hasn't finished adapting to his team yet. And what surprises me the most right now is that Juan Anangono gets a call up now, when last year he had netted 20 goals and didn't recieve a single call up. The entire Primera Etapa, JL Anangono scored 2 goals and had the biggest drought ever. And now cuz he scored 3 goals in the last few games he's worthy of a call up over Felipe Caicedo who's been working his ass off way longer in a much more competitive league and doesn't get acknowledged. I just don't see how this NT is being conducted by a moron, deciever, and incompetent person.

I just do not understand it, there is so much to disagree with Rueda here, who is going to cover our left flank??? Calderon??? even Walter Ayovi admitted his level is just @$$ right now, R. Oyola was the obvious choice here, and wtf are Guagua, Quinonez, Saritama, Leon, Anangono and Jaime Ayovi doing here?????????
Where is R Oyola? Samaniego? Christian Noboa, Gruezo, Bieler, Caicedo???? even Johny Uchuary deserved a call up more than a lot of the players in this list.

Wow I couldn't have predicted a worse line up than that. Half of those player suck and don't deserve to be in the NT. Way better players available.

What a stubborn and selfish man. It's painful to know that it will require us to lose important matches for him to call up certain players and stop calling others.

dude i don't even think that will change a thing. Jorge Guagua had the worst game you could possibly ever have against Argentina and he's on the list again. It's like the worse you are, the better your chances are of being on the NT. There's no logic to it.

And another thing i forgot to mention is Where in hell is the center mid replacement for Edison Mendez? I don't see a single REAL attacking center mid on this list.

Because he's already sold. And because he's not famous enough where the organizers required him contractually to play (i.e. Valencia and Benitez).

I just saw the rankings and honestly it just disgusts me. No way do we deserve to be top 20. That's ridiculous. It's like an insult to our past NT's who have greatly deserved to be in the top 20 but for one reason or another we never made it there. This only helps Chirirata to have a good reason to always back up Rueda and say that we're in a good standing because of him. Nothing makes sense anymore.

    http://www.teradeportes.com/futbol/...a-explica-que-una-convocatoria-a-bieler-seria

You guys hear Rueda's explanations to why this list is ridiculously awful? Now he's saying that club team performance and consistency isn't what he's looking for. He contradicts himself and makes all of us look like idiots...or at least he think us Ecuas are idiots. I thought it was against Rueda's belief to call up someone who doesn't get regular playing time and now he's coming to the media with a different story. Next he's gonna say the players with the best smiles and jokes will make it on his list.

And the excuse he had for not calling up Bieler was the FUNNIEST sh*t i've ever heard. He said Bieler can't join the NT right now b/c he doesn't have an ecuadorian passport and has to have been living in ecuador for 5 years straight. LOL that's the biggest bull i've ever heard. he really thinks Ecuas are complete dumbasses. How'd Norberto Araujo, Fleitas, and Elizaga, Klimo, etc. ever join the NT. Freakin Camello Gomez LOL from one day to another these players joined the NT and he's out here saying that Bieler can't join for another few years.
