Yo voy al partido y salgo de Toronto el lunes en la noche. Toronto definitivamente era la mejor opcion pero lamentablemente los organizadores no pudieron llegar a un acuerdo con los gerentes de estadio BMO. Ah me olvidava el partido es la las 4pm. Slotting Guerron as a forward is a great idea and one that I think the forum has talked about for some time. Putting this into perspective, Guerron has the tendency to hog the ball and take shots that could and should be passes when he plays on the right side of the field. Let him hog the ball in front of the net and take direct shots instead. Interesting move, he's played the position in Brazil...I feel comfortable seeing him there. I agree, and it goes back to what we've been saying about Rueda and not knowing the players. Rueda tried to make Guerron play in Valencia's role - he simply can't do that. Valencia is a guy who can take on defenders and beat them for speed down the wings, but he can also track back a lot and he links up well with the defense and central midfield. Valencia is also worth $30M and plays for one of the most prestigious clubs in the world. Guerron can do some things Valencia can do, but not everything. In particular, I don't think Guerron is able to play the ball out of tight spaces in defense. If he gets pressured, he tends to give the ball away and then foul the opponent. In order to alleviate this, when Guerron is on the right wing, our right fullback (Reasco) cannot project himself into the attack as much, and the central midfielders need to provide more cover on the right side. Rueda needs to find a way to make Guerron effective. Bauza did this - and as a result Guerron became the hottest player in South America and Liga became one of the top clubs in the world. Guerron can be effective when he runs into space, especially when he is 1-on-1 with the fullback. If we can get Guerron into this type of position 4 or 5 times in a game, we'll score goals. If Guerron is spending too much time trying to win the ball and bring it out of defense, we're all going to get frustrated.
Don't know if you guys are watching this, but Guerron got a perfectly legit goal disallowed because some idiot (Benitez I think) was standing offsides in front of the goalkeeper.
oswaldo min was offsides I think. good goal from Benitez. those are the type of goals I wanna see. one touch and in the net. I'm liking this game the best so far outta the 4 in the rueda era. we are shooting outside the box and are being really aggressive. Saritama and Noboa work better than quiroz. We need someone with garra pairing up with Noboa
I agree with you there. I think Saritama is playing more like he does at Dep. Quito. He's moving the offense very well. I'd like us to get another one to show some killer instinct. We are definitely outplaying them.
