Anyone attending the match in Houston? Where's a good location for DC fans to tailgate and collaborate at BBVA? Cheers
MLS doesn't care about the results of this series but Galaxy is being etched on the MLS Cup as we speak.
to tailgate, you must do it in lots b and c. c is closer to the stadium. they are rules all our SGs tailgate in Lot C. One of our SGs is agaisnt talking/hangout with the enemy, the other isn't. There's drama in that but anyways. Have fun. Lot parking should be around $25.. $20 if u can find someone with a link for pre-pay
These are supporters who bring nuclear-grade pyro to games. A fire extinguisher should be the bare minimum for some of them. Thx, Jay!
Lol, to be honest they're not really strict on anything. If they see you with glass bottles they'll ask you to pour it into a cup which any of the tailgators with tents will always have and give out.
Thxgiving is coming. Time to start seeing all the PSA's on local TV about NOT FRYING YOUR FROZEN TURKEY ON YOUR DECK. Thx, Jay!
Seriously, I wasn't blown away by any pretty football they played at all. Scrappy chances going both ways, but we looked the better side in possession. That's one salty kangaroo. "Maybe a Dingo ate your baby."
Texas is southern after a fashion and I'm sure it's a Southerner's God given right to fry whatever the ******** they want. I don't see this rule being enforced.
Both teams have built fortresses at their homes and don't lose or give away points often. I see this as a series in which DC weathers the first 90 mins at BBVA and returns to RFK to finish off the series. Sucks I gotta work this weekend or else I'd head down to the stadium. I'm going to have to sneak out just to catch the game at the nearest bar on Sunday.
It depends on how many you have from a practical standpoint, but we're already hosting a few DC folks so what's a few more? Drop me a PM for details if you're interested. We'll give you good food, good local beer and a good-natured taunting. High of 88 and 30% chance of T-storms. I wouldn't worry about it, but then again, maybe DC has a way with weather so who knows?
They do, extreme weather DC United, you're just about to find out! We love good food, good local beer and give out a good-natured taunting.
Yep, so when I started looking at traveling to these matches, I figured the matches were all weekend/weekday affairs and since DC would host the rest of the way (after Houston won the first leg) no sense in me planning on making the trip from LAX except for the final. But when the 1st switch came, I thought heck I can do this. Then the 700 did it. So I started looking at going to a match as a drive in airplane so to speak. To make a long story sad; while I could theorectically do it, the airline like Garber seem to make up rules just to F with me. There is a $75 charge per person per leg if you are within a certain window (this weekend) to use "miles'. So I will just settle on my weekend in DC for the final. Vamos United!
