Re: E-Ticket Webcasts: Full EPL Replays It looks that way. See here, under the e-Season Ticket Coverage column.
Re: E-Ticket Webcasts: Full EPL Replays I would interpret that to mean that delayed video could be either the "extended highlights" or the entire match. I will have to check to see if they have been back-adding other full matches for the Premiership matches, all of which are listed as "Y" in the column on the table you referenced.
Re: E-Ticket Webcasts: Full EPL Replays They did put the full Arsenal match up last year. At that point it was due to high demand. Not sure if this would fall under the same category.
liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket Does anyone subscribe to this? I'm considering getting it for the upcoming season, but wonder if it's worth it. While looking at the fixtures for 2006-07, I noticed that most of the games have delayed video available. How long after a game is played is the video available? Does it stream smoothly and is the quality good (can it be comfortably viewed in full screen)?
Re: liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket I have it. If you don't have FSC/ Setanta/ pay per view or stream from "unofficial" internet sources then its the only way you are going to see your team . FSC does show a lot of matches. But E season allows you to see every single premiereship match of the season. However, if you have FSC you can just watch the nightly highlight show and see clips from almost every Pool game also. The highlights on E season are great. Usually about 15 minutes long. However, they NEVER have FA cup highlights. If I miss a game or FSC is not showing it I get my roomate to log onto the site and DL the highlights for me. That way I get to watch them without ruining the result ahead of time . Its rare that games are "streamable" in real time. For example, last season our very early CL games with all those bush league teams were some of the few that you could watch live. For me, it depends on how big of a fan you are and how much extra cash you have. Personally, I have to have it.
Re: liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket The delayed video is always up within 24 hours in my experience. I asked this same question and someone gave an exact time that they are usually up by in the states. Usually by 6-7pm PST the same day of a game I think? I never stream. I always DL the highlights in high quality mode and then view after. They look pretty good IMHO.
Re: liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket Right, right...by "streaming" I meant playing back the game video, not "streaming" as in playing it in real time (which is not possible, of course). My experience with playing any type of video on the internet (game highlights on MLSnet.com, for example) is that often times the video needs to buffer, so the viewing is not very smooth. Either that or the video screen is very small, and when I expand it to full screen, the view is pixalated and a mess to watch.
Re: liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket I've had it ever since its inception and love it. The FA Cup games cannot be shown on any team's website due to contractual obligations (which are markedly different in the U.K. than the U.S.) The highlights are great to download, and when nothing else is available the audio with Steve Hunter will certainly do. I used to get up at 2 a.m. Hawaii time to listen...
Re: liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket One other question: are all Prem games available for viewing? The site implies this, but I e-mailed them and they seemed to indicate that only games where the team plays really well are available for full match viewing. Otherwise, 15 minute or 40 minute highlights are available.
Re: liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket Not all games, no. They sometime will allow full games to be replayed 24 hours or so afterwards, but I haven't seen any patter as to what is allowed. But they always have extended highlights, expect for FA Cup matches.
Re: liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket The eseason ticket is well worth it for Steve Hunter's commentary alone. I got it to be able to listen to the midweek games at work. I know where to go to hear every game played. The highlights are also great. Any live or delayed video beyond that is a bonus. I also see it as my annual support for the club. If watching every game fits into your schedule, Sentanta/FSC will have you covered.
Re: liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket The site is now saying there's going to be a 'new and improved E-season ticket" soon. Anyone have any idea or info on what it that will be?
Re: liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket The forty minute highlight package is a new feature and one that will just about make me happier than the dramatically increased number 90 minute replays uploaded last season. Also - they frequently have uploaded every UEFA champions league game a few days after the fact. I love listening to the audio live, then going back and watching the highlights. Having the 40 minute highlight package will just cut out all of the time-wasting, throw-ins and pitiful attempts that many non-LFC EPL teams make to build an attack and hold possession. Also, the ability to see a lot of footage of youth players and reserve team matches are a nice benefit.
Is anyone else having password problems with e-season ticket? I know there was some sort of web update, and now the e-season ticket login isn't taking my password. Anybody else having this problem?
Re: Is anyone else having password problems with e-season ticket? Haven't tried. I will now though. I'll let you know
Re: Is anyone else having password problems with e-season ticket? I had to refresh, but it worked for me after that.
Re: liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket The video quality is also much improved this season. Both the Maccabi Haifa matches came in clearly on my computer, which wasn't always true last season.
Re: Is anyone else having password problems with e-season ticket? Thanks for the posts. I logged out and logged back in and it worked. I was disappointed to see that nothing had changed on the e-season ticket, though. I'm looking forward to see how they will revamp things.
Re: liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket The last couple of years (at least) they have offered a 450 MBps option. This season I noticed that the true download speed was showing 500 MBps. Not too bad, really. That being said, those green shirts of Maccabi Haifa's really blended in with the field. During quick sequences on my flat-screen monitor, it occasionally looked like a pair of feet, hands and face were running around in a disembodied state. The quality of the Liverpool feeds (when the high quality option is available) is certainly better than anything that we get out of MLS or the average net-streamed content. And I cannot get over how great the new 40 minute highlight package is going to be. I have to be honest - when I am reviewing the average game that I have already listened to (or even that I already know the result of) - I don't always want to watch the 90 minute tape - even if it is available. If it is a game against Arsenal or Chelsea - that is one thing. But a match against Bolton or Sheffield United - no way! I cannot stand watching a bunch of lummoxes knocking the ball around in their own end for five minutes. I imagine that the 40 minutes is a magic number in terms of game footage that they are allowed to show without paying a special rights fee or something. But it is a great idea. It gives you enough game action to be sure that you are getting a lot of the context and appreciation for the ebb and flow in the match (the shorter highlights package sometimes does not convey just how well the other team might be doing against 'Pool over a ten minute period or something) while at the same time cutting out a lot of the lingering over the free kicks, throw-ins, corner kicks, etc. As long as they still pony up for 90 minutes for the big EPL games (of which I can think of 4 or 5 at least last season) - this new offering really makes me happy. I imagine that there are going to continue to be features added to the Prem Ticket in order to boost subscriptions . . . but even considering the present exchange rates - it is a great value. Especially for fans like me who are WAY TOO CHEAP for PPV or for expensive premium cable subscriptions. The other thing I love about the E-season ticket is that it gives me a great way to support the club with my dollars. Being a fan in another country - I sometimes feel guilty that I don't have very many ways to actually support the club that gives me so much pleasure. But the E-season ticket is a great way to throw some money to the club and the club alone. It is not like buying a shirt once a year, which provides the club with something like £10 at the most. It is a continuing investment in the club that allows them to lower costs for things that they are already doing 'for free' and put a little bit more money away in the kitty. It does chaff me at times to see so many folks who are 'big fans' do anything they can to watch the club without contributing anything to its coffers. If the club does make you happy - buy a licensed strip or sign up for E-Season ticket. Don't watch the match on boot-legged Korean internet streams or buy a knockoff jersey from Thailand (which I admit having done in the past).
Re: liverpoolfc.tv's e-Season Ticket Might be a little off-topic, but what do you get in the Liverpool TV show on GolTV? Do they show any games or highlights?
New E-Season Ticket Interface For those of you on the fence about the E-Season ticket on the official website, you might want to check out the new slick interface. It's got a lot of flash graphics and an "ajaxy" feel to it- very web 2.0. You can add video segments to a personalized favorites list and PC using folk can create a video playlist. Check it out and see what you think.
Re: New E-Season Ticket Interface Just disappointed that it doesn't work to 100% for Mac users. It doesn't say that on those fancy new commericals now does it.
