I'm sure there will be water fountains at the stadium. They had them at Robertson. I wish somebody would post some new pictures of the exterior of the stadium. The concrete work must be pretty much finished by now, huh?
Just saw a press conference going on at the stadium... I'm assuming that was the Sugarland announcement. But... what's up with those big*ss boxes on the sidelines? Don't even tell me those are the 'cushy' seats for the 1%ers...
I'd guess that they are. Why is that a problem? Those seats have to get installed eventually and they are delivered in boxes. All of the seat were delivered in boxes. They aren't one seat per box or anything.
If you are referring to the area at approximately 3 o clock which does not have seats - that area is the Exclusive VIP section. The seats have not been installed as yet due to the fact that the individual seat air conditioning ducting is not in place, and the upholsterer was having problems matching grain on the "rich Corinthian leather".
Jealousy I get. Just wasn't sure why you were aiming it at boxes. The regular seats also came in boxes.
Could also be LED Field signage. If you look at the East sideline or in front of the supporters section, it looks like its already up.
I thought Tuzos were beavers. Much different from Gophers. Beavers don't burrow in the ground and dance to Kenny Loggins.
Nope, I would know my own mascot. lol Thanks for the Caddyshack reference Yep. There's a cartoon from Nick called Angry Beavers well in Mexico it's called, Los Castores Cascarrabias. Here's a picture of a Tuzo
Nothing. I posted this earlier but two things to remember regarding Bermuda grass: 1) It requires a combined temperature of 150 degrees before it grows. Combined is defined as nighttime low plus daytime high. Each strain can drift in one direction or the other but that is a good standard. Even though it has been 80+ in the day here, we still have cool nights. So quite frankly, the grass is likely not really growing yet (a little here and there). The next week's forecast looks like we should start to see some action on the grass. 2) when you sod, some parts die. Just part of the circle of life. My guess is they will address this about a month prior to the opening day (mid April) and replace any lingering sections.
A little off topic, but I was in Freebirds today (in Rosenberg where it's new and people are unfamiliar with the concept) and the girl behind me said "wow, are these really pot brownies?" The cashier said "yep" and the girl said "so, they really have weed in them?" Clueless.
LMAO!!! I wish it were that exciting. I paid my way through college working grounds crew on a golf course (five years).
