Like I said, just trying to give you ideas (although four spots seems big enough for kegs, coolers, tables and grills). If you find a better spot - cool - but it is a lot cheaper than meeting at bars. More sustainable then being run from parks and the street each week.
For this Pre-match that is Thursday night before the big day.... Is it just me, or isnt this a great opportunity for the SG and FO to get the word out for a specific song or chant that the entire stadium can participate in? If we had one rockin song that was kinda simple or we they could just pass out an entire list of songs and words. It is suppose to be a trial-run game, so why can one of the trys be to get a stadium wide something going. I am not sure we will have another opportunity like this.... To me its all about starting little brush fires of song and passion all over the stadium and as the season progresses the SG can be the fuel that finally ignites it all.

Now that is beautiful when the whole stadium is singing in harmony I need to go to Anfield. A lot of people tell me is an amazing experience. Has anyone been to The Kop?
This! During halftime with the lyrics on big screen. Show the fans during instrumental times (1:05-1:35).
The Texas sun glows orange when it sets at night Orange when it sets at night Orange when it sets at night The Texas sun glows orange when it sets at night And it's about to set for you
Orange Colored Sky has pretty complicated phrasing. That would be hard. Orangefield, Van Morrison's classic, has a cool simple verse that whole crowds could easily pickup: How I love you then in Orangefield Like I love you now in Orangefield Singin in the Rain is a joyous wonderful group sing-a-long. I'm just struggling to tie it into Houston or the Dynamo. Unless someone cares to write up a new set of lyrics. I still think this ol' stupid country western song has an easy phrasing that would work: Houston Houston means that I'm a one day closer to you Oh, honey, Houston Houston means the last day of the tour and we're through
I don't know that song, but Dean Martin's Houston would work. It's easy and slow, it needs rewriting the words but it repeats Houston a lot. I can see people singing some easy words to it.
Noone's mentioned R.E.M's Orange Crush (or have ya?). Amazed. Would have to get creative with the lyrics, though. Screams for a stadium to sing it out...
Hmm. home invasion. Crime. Bad rendition of the song. Nothing connected to orange or Houston, except the name of the movie it is in. Yeah. I'm missing the relevance. Sorry, call me dense.
Yeah? didn't know I had that in common with hitler. and i'm more genetically pure than him. Which is why I'm not homeless. naturally superior.
I did a long time ago in another one of these bursts of song suggestions that never went anywhere....
ah. the last truly great song by R.E.M. on the album that portended the decline of a once great band ... Stand was the beginning of the end and SHP was the final nail in the coffin. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mSmOcmk7uQ"]R.E.M. - Orange Crush (Video) - YouTube[/ame]
