and to put the thread back on the tracks, I noticed on the webcam the electrical stuff in the concourse is now working as the lights were on all night.
...and so another level of infrastructure has been added! We need some water and a drainage system now! Speaking of which is our drainage system going to come with sprinklers or be hosed for watering? Is it going to be a mix like most?
They are. Me: blah blah blah soccer blah Them: yeah I watch the finals every four years Question: what are the odds they do play USMNT games at dynamo field? Wouldn't Reliant be a better option? Well I couldn't see El Tri at our field for sure.
I agree with this. But what a bad train of thought for the Dynamo from a business standpoint. I want the Dynamo to succeed as a business because the more money the Dynamo LLC makes the better they can invest in soccer. So I would like to spend money inside the stadium with the Dynamo rather than with other businesses outside it.
I would think a US versus Caribbean game would be perfect at Dynamo stadium. Probably a couple thousand visitor supporters and a sell-out of US fans. 22k would be a good number.
What I've seen in similarly situated urban venues in other markets is that a lot of people spend money both inside the stadium and in bars and other businesses outside it.
They hosted games at Livestrong a smaller, yet as we all know more luxurious, stadium so why not at Dynamo Field? The masses will attend.
Agreed. And no matter what you do that will happen. Not a bad thing. But I'd like to see the Dynamo compete for the $$.
Might as well kill two birds with one stone and get a USMNT v. USWNT game. Let's think about this for a while.... Goalkeeper match-up is close between Solo and Pato Howard. I'll give it to Solo............................but that doesn't mean I'll give her this match up! Howard wins by a close margin. Defense goes to the men on sheer size. Midfield depends on whether Dempsey is there or not. Either way Men win. Forwards.............women have the men beat! They actually score. Do not take this post seriously people bahhaahahahaa
I know this question has been probably already answered on this forum somewhere, but I could not find it. Does anyone know how many season tickets have been sold for next year?
Exact numbers have not been released but 20 sold-out sections and there's a considerable increase (35%) from this season. I'll look for link. Sorry for mobile link but I'm on my cell phone. http://www.bizjournals.com/mobile/houston/news/2011/10/13/slideshow-inside-the-new-dynamo-stadium.html
So if that is 35% of season tickets this year - that means roughly 8100 season tickets sold already!!!!!!!! Of course it could mean 35% head of this time last year - in which case I have no idea.
That matches what ive heard too. I know theyre working to get 10k min but have no plans, yet, to cap STs just yet, a la Portland.
October 16: On Saturday, October 15, they were working on three levels outside my window all at once: the block work on the back of the club level, the block work on the press box level, and right above that on the roof. Kind of fun to watch the beehive of activity. Not sure what this building is. It is in the southwest corner of the site, right next to the Back of the House but not connected at all. I guess it is some sort of garage/storage building. It does not have the geometric designs cut into the walls like the Back of the House.
