Do you think it means anything that there's no sign of GreenStar? Not on the training jerseys, not on the polos, not sure I've seen it anywhere so far.
We asked CC about it on first training session and he said they were stuff on the table they were talking about but they are still our sponsors until further notice
My guess is that based on the original details released (5-year deal, but final 2 years were option years), Greenstar is locked into this year's sponsorship and dollars contractually but the Dynamo will let them out if a suitable replacement is found. It's like a lame duck sponsorship year. "Still our sponsors until further notice" doesn't exactly sound like a real fruitful partnership. Plus whatever they do for this year's kit will have a new sponsor for next year anyways, which is why its always a good idea to buy sponsor-neutral stuff.

you know, i'm seeing the opposite than others. JJ: i like his hold-up play and how he plays when he has his back to the goal. the passes haven't been there but overall he's making the right decisions which means he has a soccer brain. i guess other's may dislike him because they were expecting a pure striker and instead he looks like a capable target forward out there. their tenures will probably not overlap but a Bruin - JJ pairing in a 4-4-2 would be interesting. Callum Elliot: looks like a typical SPL player. <=== not a compliment.
He had a great breakaway, which was as much credit to the assist as it was to him, but he did well to stay ahead of and put it away smoothly past the keeper.
My report from HBU game - 1) sorry OTH, I agree with Rey on Callum. Very slllllloooooowww. 2) Speaking of slow - Cam Weaver didn't look very good. (I got in late first half and did miss seeing his two goals so it may be a bad grade). I like Cam but he isn't a starter for a good team in this league. 3) Brunner looked very good - great pick up. 4) JJ looked promising. 5) Ownby and Kofi looked nifty as outside backs 6) Jiles was very active all over the field and helps push the pace for the rest of the team. 7) Nic Ryan looks too small / not strong enough 8) Arena I think was paired with Bos in the middle second half and looked quite good 9) Chabala played well. If we sign him again I think he could be better fit for the team now than when he played for us before. Taylor is huge in helping cover for the outside backs and Chabala can help in the offensive third with overlaps and crossed balls in. 10) The few minutes I saw Dixon disappointed me. 11) All the other vets looked fine. A nice day for free soccer!
How much longer can they hold on to Dixon, I'm wondering. He has not been consistent enough to break onto the first team, and I'm curious about his potential, or lack of potential.

Speaking of preseason, any word about the garage/fire sale? I love that event. Also, the preseason luncheon thing, has that been discontinued since they didn't do it last year? That was another fun one. Oh, yea, I'm still waiting to play in the game on the field at BBVA that I signed up for when I renewed my tickets early.

Sorry. DWP (drunk while posting) I meant. A lot of people who buy single game tickets get "special prizes" for buying tickets like meet players or this and that... As a season ticket holder, do we get those same benefits? (If did last statement didnt make sense, sorry too. I had atleast a few more beers since then)
Now we do have that crappy two-page listing of names they put in a program early in the season, with the names so small that the orange background print bled into most every name, rendering it unreadable to everyone not an Autobot or Decepticon
