Based on the boxscore, I don't think Omar Cummings played. He is/will be our second striking option and if he returns to form of a few years ago, he will be a handful for opponents.

Going back to #5...you based your assumption on 3 days of training with his new team, and 1 half of a scrimmage? And how did Calum look?

    Ponce yeah, nice one!

Cummings, my bad, totally forgot about him. He does provide an option for sure.

Soccercrub, yes, a quick assertion for sure, but I have eaten and slept soccer for 35 years. I know a player, and trust my judgement on even just 1 game. We'll see, he might do ok, but he is a rookie and for this upcoming year we need to assume nothing..

Calum looked ok, but a tad heavy. Needs to get a few weeks training for sure. Again, we'll see, Moffat is great but Scots are usually awful at acclimitising to heat (Boyd thought 70 degrees at a Cup Final with Rangers in Glasgow was really hot). I doubt Calum will stick with us, but again, I would love to be proved wrong. I used to be a player, so I fully understand its easier to look than play, but as fans we pay our money and have right to be somewhat critical....that's part of the fun, right?

Thanks to everyone who posted pics or their thoughts about the players. Please keep it coming. It's so good to start getting back into the swing of Dynamo soccer.

there are other options up top....Boniek has played forward for Olimpyia...ive seen his hightlights and he was dynamic....Barnes is the guy to me that is going to be a huge addition...hes had an offseason here and he will have a full preseason...he has skill on the ball is big and has speed...i would love to see Kandji back... I hope he will be back..id love to see us use Bruin and Boniek up top with Davis,Clark,Barnes and Moffat. And dont forget we can transition to the 4-3-3 and use Kandji if he resigns..Im a huge Calen Carr fan and hope he recovers well and gets back on the pitch...and finally ive got to really give Cam Weaver alot of credit..hes been loyal not the white Nate Jaqua becuz Jaqua was always looking to leave Houston. Cam wants to be here and he produces when he plays...even if it is reserve action...when we need him he will be ready. And now im pulling for him due to his sicktoitveness.....

its a new season with the best coach in MLS and we are gonna win the cup this year.......

    dale dynamo...

like crap, but that's understandable considering the difference in experience, height, strength and speed.

unless, of course someone wanted to paint a different agenda then you could draw a differrent conclusion. ;)

I had to leave at the half so I didn't see him. Chabala played quite well and Weaver always does well against undersized defenders. Barnes looked good at the AM spot as well. JJ did not look great as another person mentioned from the previous game. I only noticed one half-chance on our defensive end.

He had one nice play were he beat the defender to the end line and then cut the ball back to Elliot who set up Ching for a nice shot that was saved. Other than that he didn't do too much that stood out, either good or bad.

Rico really stood out. He appears really ready for what is expected of him at our Cholo position.

Weaver is the reserve league/scrimmage game goal master. That is all.
