thank u.. i have been waiting all day... i wanted to go to kicks and check them out.. but considering the fact that im out of the country it was hard to make it..
went through all the news channels website and they all have houston's teams information on them but none of them have anything about soccer.
channel 10 even has a headline that says "Houston Teams" no soccer though
Golly gee.. Thanks...
what a shame
They showed them on Ch 11, 12 and 13 news.
are houstans generally excited about the team? i mean, is it a big deal? community excited? besides the middle school they first debuted the team at?
Channel 11 has a soccer section... I didn't register to see what's there..
OK folks...sorry they're just crappy pics off the TV, but at last you get to see the kits:
Yes we have a third GK, Martin Hutton, BUT it was Stuart Holden (both local boys on the reserve list) who was modeling the home kit (at least on the Channel 11 clip I watched).
and another from the back
I believe I'll be buying the roadie first.
At least the aways aren't all white. Their only redeeming feature.
Sorry for the confusion, I was referring to the MLS and Dynamo websites. They should be trying to raise awareness and capture excitement. For example of proper uniform unveiling see Astros, Texans, and Rockets.
Not a houston fan but I like them
nice pics! Hey man it's something! thanks for the effort! Greatly appreciated! they made it saturday on the East coast by about 10 mins haha. See yall later.
OK, that's Martin Hutton on the far right in the keeper kit.
So it looks like Holden made the team?
A stadium full of that color would look very nice...
aren't those off-the-rack jersies with a houston logo slapped on? I hope you get something better next year, something unique to the team.
I tend to agree with you. They should've had webmasters ready with pics of the kits in hand ready to post them as soon as they were unveiled tonight (all someone had to do was pop on a cell phone and give them the go ahead). And there's no reason they couldn't have had a photographer there shooting digital pics and then take a laptop to some wi-fi somewhere or back to the FO and send them in for posting.
My guess is they didn't think enough people would be waiting breathless for the reveal other than folks in Houston and they wanted them out at the event.
finally an orange team and they f' it up...at least theres a team in Houston...
Thanks Chris. Im not to sold on the orange, I thought it would be darker. The White Jersey seems more like a regular shirt to me. Perhaps up close it looks different.
Thanks for the pics, they don't look as bad as I previously thought. I'm very heppy we now have an orange team in MLS.
