outside Soccer City with dr. ludicrous & superfan dutka: lost in the sea of (Dutch) orange: my camera is not zoomed. the lioness that looked straight in my eyes:
freezing my ass off outside of Peter Mokoba stadium in Polokwane for France vs Mexico. TA scarf is under the jacket:
i'm not going to lie: i was so amazed by their beauty that it didn't register that she could of easily broken the window of the 1968 VW bug we had hired (she put her head on the glass and i could see the pressure on the window, one lioness tried to eat our front tire and yet another tried to put its head in the slightly cracked window of the drivers side). it was only later when we overheard a local explain that tourists have been seriously injured that i had the "oh sht!" moment.
Just got back from a church trip to Israel on Fri - On the beach at the Mediterranean in Tel Aviv At the Church of the Beatitudes, Tabgha, the Sea of Galilee in the background Outside the Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem
At Masada, the Dead Sea in the background Wearing my Dynamo yarmulke, just before the security check at the Western Wall in Jerusalem At the Jaffa Gate, Old City, Jerusalem
I just got back from Athens where I ran the Athens Classic Marathon on the 2500th anniversary of the Battle of Marathon, which followed the original course that Pheidippides ran. Of course I ran it in my Dynamo top and if you can believe it, two different spectators yelled out 'Go Dynamo!' to me, which is even more cool because as you can see I was wearing the Authentic that only said Amigo Energy across the front. There is no way they could have read it from the crest of my shirt as I ran by so they must have known about the Dynamo! Here I am at the Acropolis in front of the Parthenon.
admittedly, this was not out of town, but yesterday was at Bracket Town at the GRB, wearing a giveaway shirt from a Dynamo-FCD game in '06 - coincidentally, got there at the same time as an autograph signing by UCLA coach Ben Howland - after he signed my UCLA '95 championship hat, got this pic...
It's not a vacation until we pose for a photo in Dynamo orange! This time it was Iceland for the Reykjavik marathon. Special appearance: juvechelsea
Going to boston and fenway park in september. Going to make sure i wear dynamo apperal to the game. Will post pics.
It is really crazy, yesterday I was thinking about this thread and how I should bump it. I some how did not pack any orange though so I was mad I would not have anything to post from my current trip to Montreal.
Taken in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado at 10,759 feet of elevation. I had to drive down from the high point of Trail Ridge Road which is at 12,183 ft to get to this point. This was just before the snowstorm started on October 6 which closed the road for the winter.
If anybody is ever trying to put faces with bigsoccer names, I'll attempt to help you out. Keep in mind that this photo is only about 1.5" on my phone, so I may be a little off... Yossarin, dre00, newtex, Anderson, DrLudacris, DonJuego, Art Vandaley, mabeuf, ?, ?
Planting the Dynamo flag at the finish line of the White Continent Marathon in Antarctica. Antarctica is now officially the "Orange Continent."
With that one, I believe the Dynamo colors have now been represented on all seven continents, yes? Next up: International Space Station
Before I head back for this weekend's match, here's one last photo from the Punta Arenas Marathon at the southernmost tip of Chile.....
The man's flying out of South America and Antarctica, landing at 6:55PM and then driving straight to the game to catch as much of it as possible. He knows his priorities.
