SC Cambuur, managed by Yank Pama, missed the chance to skip one round in the play off, because of the 2-0 loss against MVV Maastricht. They will be in the play off anyway, because the next competitor for the play off spot is three points behind with one match to go. But the goal difference is so much in SC Cambuur's favour, that it is virtually impossible for them to fail.
It still is possible for SC Cambuur to make it to the spot that gives the right to skip one round.

We can look forward to a repetition of last years play off thrill!

Dude... Alex Pama has not been the TD of Cambuur since January 2011.

What about Charles Kazlauskas and Helmond Sport? Are they in the playoffs? Do they have a chance to finally gain promotion?

There was a rumour last year about a Yank with a trial at FC Groningen, but that's the enemy to you, so that is a nono:p

    NO!!!!!

Beerholder at Cambuur, Bradley at 'veen. Those are the way life should be.

    It's hard enough rooting for a cheese-keeper.

Kazzy scored the winner last evening, but missed two face to goalie face opportunities.

He's gone all Bradley on us. I remember a million years ago when his family used to post on BS until the usual rabble ran them off.

The match was a very rough one, 10 yellow cards were given and it was a miracle all were still on the pitch at the final whistle. It was almost kin to a derby as the clubs are a mere 12 miles apart. Kazzy played as a winger, not his normal position, but the television reporter after the match said to him in his interview that he was a pain in the ass for the defenders.
This sunday Helmond Sport has to step up to maintain their lead.

Helmond Sport win their second leg 2-0, with Kazzie getting another goal. Helmond move to the final playoff-round, where they will play VVV Venlo for a spot in the Eredevisie next season.

We're up to about the half hour, Kazlauskas starting at right back for the big game. Helmond Sport gave up an early goal, but responded with two to level the aggregate at 3-3. As a reminder, away goals are no factor here. Those outside the NL can watch it here.

All even, 60 minutes (or more) to go to the Eredivisie...

VVV scored not long after the hour and held on for a 2-2 draw to take the tie 4-3. Harsh.

Kazzy was so close to the Eredivisie. At home Helmond Sport missed 3 unmissable chances and at the VVV grounds they also had the better play and deserved to win. But you have to take it and they didnot. Such a shame they missed it, never were so close as this confrontation.
