It is indeed the sfl Challenge Cup. Sons won 3-2 yesterday to progress to the next round, the winner coming from Pat Walker after 92 minutes. That's the first time Sons have won a Challenge Cup first round game since 2002.
swee-eet! side note: at+t is a horrible provider and horrible with customer care to boot. i have been without phone and 'net for 4 straight days. earlier this summer we lost both for almost 3 weeks.
that happens this week also. =) we have a few other folks posting in this thread so far this season sweee-eet...
He may well be. Let's see how he does this season with his own squad and a full season in sole charge. I'm fairly happy with the signings he's made and his interviews to the press always please me as he's so approachable and down-to-earth. 'Mon the Sons!
Dumbarton were defeated by 4 goals to nil at home today against First Division promotion hopefuls Dundee. We played much better than the scoreline suggests and didn't disgrace ourselves against strong opposition from a higher league. Today's result means that Dundee will now proceed to the 2nd round of the League Cup.
I did, mate, yeah. Dundee brought a healthy away support, Sons played well against a full time team and the sun was glorious (my arms and neck even mildly sunburned) so it was hard to be too upset by the result. On to the first league game of the season now away to Airdrie United on Saturday.
if anyone who doesn't already know and is interested, there are highlights of all sfl competitions on the website. http://www.scottishfootballleague.com/
