While I love the Fire, they do not compare to United.

This is like some alternate reality where the Fire is still run by Peter Wilt.

ahhhhh, let him go to celebrity fc. who knows? they could end up being ego-heavy and implode.

I disagree. We've already beaten them twice this year and will likely do so again on Wednesday.

Id think the ability to walk down the street with his family unmolested while still being Drogba would have great appeal. IIRC it is one of the reasons cited by Nowak in '97.

in chicago? let's be real: if he were walking down the street, people wouldn't molest him. more likely, they'd fear being molested by him.

Man United is the bar down on Halsted right next to The Man Hole and The Loading Zone (not that there's anything wrong with that).:cautious:

After that tour of Chicago we need him to call Ronaldinho to come on over. The phonecall would start with: "So, I'm at this club..."

    Aaaaand Ronnies in.

Agreed, and now he's another year older, and probably still wants the huge offer that MLS sent last time. He'd be a marketing success immediately, but I can't help but think that he is at the very tail end of his career. He'd score goals, but I doubt he'd be a true difference maker at this point.

The China thing was a marketing ploy to get people to pay attention to whatever club it was for a week (see, didn't work as I don't remember who it was), then they sold him in the 1st window they could.

He's still got it though. If he can rip apart Mertesacker like this, he surely can do it to most MLS CBs.

They (Shanghai Shenhuaon) also had Anelka with their team, they just could not afford them anymore, they still have some decent foreign players making good money, I remember Giovanni Moreno with Xolos Tijuana, he is a pretty good player.
