he did lose speed, but i felt his passing forward expecially was terrible in his later games for us

arteta makes alot of forward passes though and starts alot of moves

denilson did seem a nice kid and i did stick up for him, but sadly, arteta is better and we have wilshere now too

Arteta is the same sideways passing merchant that Denilson was. They play the exact same way. Not saying Denilson is better tho, he clearly isn't. Jack passed it sideways and backwards more than Denilson did last year too, but I am not saying Denilson is better either.

I always feel that back injury messed him up and then bs lost confidence in himself. Denilson would have been better off with a vet like Arteta guiding him, as would most of that lost generation of the last 5 years.

arteta has movement as passes the ball forward better than denilson did mate, it's clear to see

he also has more of a threat going forward to set up/score and takes better set pieces

arteta also is quicker and isn't afraid to mix it up in the middle

he is beyond the player denilson could've ever hoped to be

Arteta is the player we were wishing he would be come. The back injury finished him at the top level, he doesn't have the power or in place of power explosivness to play midfield in England.

and I dont see much of a difference in their passing. I think Arteta is better defensively, but in terms of getting the ball forward they both are very similar.

And Arteta's set pieces are awful, thats just jive talk. One goal on Saturday will not change how bad he has been this season from them.

I am not saying Arteta is not a better player than Denilson but Arteta is replaceable.

I know that the club closely monitors the progress of their loaned players. Do you think the club is even bothering keeping an eye on Denilson? Something tells me that no one at the club gives a shit how he's doing, least of all AW.

i think wilshere will become better than arteta but there aren't many quality cms who can fdistribute and sit deep with the technical quality of arteta that can be had for ten million

wasn't arteta considered something of a set piece specialist coming in? that amazing free kick aside, i haven't seen anything else that has backed that up. his corners have been poor and his free kicks have been meh.

For those wondering about Kyle Bartley, he is playing today. Seems to be doing alright.

How much can we get for him? Cos Im thinking Bendtner, Vela, Arshavin and Denilson money could look handsome.

I say we hold Vela hostage until we get 8 million and 50 percent sign on fee for whomever he signs with next after Real Soc. but for real, all of their prices have been going up except maybe Denilson. Arshavin and Nicky B's price could move up even more with a good Euro. But how much for all of them depends on the market, FFP's bark and Euros. For Vela 6 million/50 sign on sounds reasonable.

    chamberlain is sick though

he has 10 goals and 7 assists in 29 games and in most he did not play the full 90min.. and this was done in the best league of the world... i kid i kid but still top two league in the world

I'll admit, I still have a soft spot for Reyes. It's a shame his career went downhill after leaving. He had one good season with Real.

His goal today shows off his Arsenal education. Set it up and finished it off:

vela is perfect for spain, not for england though

if he was quicker he could have been a great poacher

he is very fast, and he is much more than a poacher. If he was stronger, physically and mentally, he would have done brilliantly in England. I still think he could end up being a world class player, but the timing was not right for him in England.

Vela has either scored or assisted on something like 32% of the goals for Sociedad this season in either goals or assists. Its only behind Cronaldo and Messi in La Liga.

Fan boys in general can be annoying. Didn't we get some Bosnian posters a while back when someone mentioned Dzeko?
