Doncaster Rovers vs Blackpool, Football League Championship Saturday 31st October 2009 kick-off 3:00pm On Saturday Blackpool travel to South Yorkshire to take on Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium. Blackpool are currently 8th on 23 points, while Rovers are at the wrong end of the table in 18th on 14 points. They have won just two of their 14 games, but are becoming draw specialists, with eight of their games resulting in stalemate. The Seasiders will be without Charlie Adam, who picked up his 5th booking of the season at Swansea last Saturday and so serves a one match ban. Also missing will be Ishmel Demontagnac who starts his three match suspension. Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Al Bangura will be hoping to play.
He was sent off for violent conduct on his return to action a couple of weeks ago. As it was a Reserves game, it meant that for some reason the three match ban took effect 14 days later. It was in the 4-3 away win over PKE reserves, and he is supposed to have tried headbutting a PKE player when he had a penalty appeal turned down! One way of making yourself a hero with some Blackpool fans.....
Aye, the one good thing of course being that it was in a reserve fixture. Ian Holloway has continued to back him though, while still of course pointing out the obvious - that he has to cut it out. Fortunately we do this season have strength in depth, but if he is to continue making a career out of football he clearly has to sort his head out. Blackpool have given him what is possibly his final chance - and he is clearly a skilful player and popular with the fans. Holloway I'm sure will work hard with him though.
Defender Neal Eardley is continuing to receive treatment on the knee injury sustained at Swansea City last Saturday. He is rated 50-50 for the Doncaster Rovers game.
An 18 man squad travelled to South Yorkshire earlier today, minus defender Neal Eardley as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.
Ian Holloway is the Sky Sports studio guest at Loftus Road for their coverage of the QPR vs Leicester City game. Not surprising really given that he managed both clubs. And of course, typical Ollie he has his tangerine and white Pool tie on!

Billy Sharp (on loan at Donny from Sheffield United) certainly seems to be involved in everything and it looks like they are dominating the game. No real surprise considering we are missing three key players plus Demon, who like Bouazza, is very pacey. And we have two 30+ year olds up front along with Burgess so no pace. Right now, I'd take a draw.
Why did I mention him and why again have Blackpool conceded right at the start of the half? 46 Goal scored by Billy Sharp (Doncaster) 46 Shot by Billy Sharp (Doncaster) : on target 45 The second half kicks off.
