I wouldn't mind seeing a rebrand to the Kicks or something else besides United. Especially if the rumors about Beckham naming his team Miami United are true. MLS will have D.C. United, Miami United, and Minnesota United? Barf.

 

Miami International would be awesome... WEAR TEAL regardless.

 

Miami International sounds like an airport. They should be called Dade County with "Pitbulls" as the nickname.
But not really.

I'm not huge on "Euro" style branding, but I'd guess that Beckham will lean that way and if he does, Inter Miami doesn't sound horrible.

 

Miami is a very international city. Internationals would fit ok. Metropolitans, Cosmopolitans, Constellations, Universe, all have a similar ring.

 

And we're back to arguing about team names for teams that don't exist. Awe. Some.

Well it still doesn't exist hence he's correct. Nothing has been confirm but that Beckham is looking for land for a stadium if he can't no team in good ol Miami. Although he probably will since MLS wants to get him that chance.

 

I believe that there it's enough speculation on the team and the commissioner being quoted"3 of 4 spoken for" that a name for a team isn't outrageous. Good old most interesting man in the world is just being a kill joy, God forbid you have some fun on big soccer. And it's no team as far as we know but the magic 8 ball keeps coming up signs point to Yes. Oh and by the way, I like your pick for Miami FC/SC.

 

Since they cannot find land for a stadium, we could temporarily call the team "Miami MIA FC".

 

Please no--the last thing we need is for this overexposed guy to be connected with the club...

 

You took away from my post that "team doesn't exist" was my main complaint?

 

Pretty sure Beckham has done enough to secure his "discount" at this point in time.
