Riquelme's position with Villareal has been bugging me these last couple of days and has got me thinking. It's quite clear that Riquelme will never play again for the yellow submarine as long as Roig and Pellegrini are there and they keep achieving results, so this poses me to ask the following question: are there any teams left in Spain who could actually buy Riquelme and fit all the necessary criteria? And by these I mean: those who stilll play the 4-3-1-2 formation, those who would do everything in their power to keep a player with such a fragile mental state happy, and, this is probably the most important thing, can actually pay his wages? Do these teams still exist in Spain, or Europe for that matter? Could anyone with a little more info on the Spanish league and their teams (what wages that they pay, etc.) give me a little bit more information about this? Because it's quite infuriating for an outsider to see Riquelme's talent go to waste like this.
Inter Milan have played mostly in a 4-3-1-2 for the last season and a half and he would add creativity to the likes of zanetti, stankovic and cambiasso in midfield who are all adept at tracking back. He would also provide very good service for ibrahimovic, suazo, crespo, cruz, adriano up front.
Can Reggina spend 4 million euros a year just for one player? I don't think they can. Besides I don't really see Riquelme fancying a move to Italy, maybe Milan but not Inter which is basically a player's graveyard these days...

What's the full the story behind Riquelme and Villareal anyway?.. I remember about him taking some time of before the bust up because a family member had fallen ill. He reportedly took too much time of, several month and that did not fall too well with the club. Correct me if i'm wrong please!
