You are not figuring in wages.

Yeah, I am a big fan of Lass but if he wants to leave, he should. No point keeping him around waiting for the next time he throws a fit.

I like Lass a lot, but thnk he should go as he can't be trusted to give his all throughout the season. Plus. We need something different from that position. For me a step backwards if true.

Sahin to Milan sounds like bullshit.

Come on let's be real about a couple of things, first De Rossi is just a dream and second Martinez' wages aren't going to be that high, definitely less than the 4ME Lass is robbing us blind for every season.

    True, but compared to Coentrao?

Not enough of difference to not question the logic IMO. Blondie is making at least 2ME a season and I imagine Martinez would only earn a bit more than that plus he would be upgrading a position that has been a weakness of ours for the longest time.

With all due respect I wouldn't sign Kalou if he paid us to come. He's a decent enough player but IMO not what we're looking for as a Di Maria/Oezil backup.

Martinez is too expensive because he's not worth all the money Athletic want for him.

He's signing for 3 to 4 million. He's a Spanish international, and surely not a sucker considering that he's popular on the transfer market.I think Albiol is on 3 million a season, why would Martinez sign or less?

Lass should just go. Enough of his inner-season drama, couldn't even help during our rough stretch because he was too busy being a problem instead of a solution.

So doing what stupid thing should justify doing some more dumb shit? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Just allow me to clarify a bit, in keeping with Blondie being a "stupid" signing (which I don''t necessarily believe) the "stupidity" lied in the fact that we were spending so much on a player who really was unnecessary at the price point. As for a CM, I think it is pretty universally agreed that upgrading this position should be priority numero uno for this offseason and an upgrade would generally require some significant investment. It doesn't necessarily have to be Martinez or De Rossi either, it's just the idea that there is some sort of cap on how much Mou is willing to spend on a position that has proven to be a weakness for so long in light what we've already put out for positions that are less of a priority is a bit mysitifying.

Upgrading central midfield would hardly be doing dumb shit. A solution to our problem there is always going to be expensive.

Buying a "situational" LB is hardly doing dumb shit as well and I disagree that it is always going to be expensive. It doesn't have to be 40 million or nothing.

We have Khedira and Granero, along with Sahin hopefully getting a good pre season with the team and being somewhat of a new signing next season. I think we're adequately covered, and i would only spend on a serious improvement.

I'd rather have Arbeloa over Bosingwa. Bosingwa has been caught up too many times and plays more as a RM.

    1) No thanks 2) No thanks 3) Hell no

If these are our options, we might as well promote Carvajal and stick with Arbeloa and the occasional Ramos switch. We went a whole season with Arbeloa and Altintop as RBs and it wasnt too bad, might as well help Carvajal develop in the odd game instead of splashing the cash on average RBs who are arguably not even an upgrade.

I've given many examples man, come on. For one Vidal wouldn't cost that much, but do the same job. I've also liked the Boateng suggestion because he brings something different to Sami.

It doesn't have to be Javi Martinez or nothing. I strongly disagree with this.

DC with their crack reporting are at it again

    Fernandes is going to CSKA

Mario Fernandes would be "interesting" if a)he didn't just sign for CSKA and b)he wasn't a bit "crazy" in a Jesus Navas kinda way. Just saying'...:ROFLMAO:

I don't think it has to be Javi or nothing. It could be Yaya. :p

That list of RBs is not impressive at all. We can do better than that.

The problem with RBs is there just aren't a whole lotta them floating around out there.
Does Mendes have any RBs on his client list?

I actually thought about checking that today. :D

We only need one. Maicon enters his final contract year. Just sayin' :)

So if Maicon signs with Mendez we will only need to come up with 30 ME and the deals done for a backup RB.

    Not for 40 million euros.

We're probably going to wait till the Euros, see who is performing well then go after him. Van Der Weil will look good for Holland and is for sale so he is possibly the favorite.

    Not mine though.
