    Cholo means when you are half white/half inca, IDK why people believe that cholo is the people that comes from the mountains.

    did youz know 'perucho' has been used since the 70s, at least here in yersey and ny? the real salseros probably have heard it on some tracks from songs way back when.

    Sorry to butt into your forum (I do like Vargas, though!) but in the Rep. of Panama they use cholo to refer to country folks. And, of course, in places like Los Angeles, San Diego and Phoenix cholo refers to a "style."

    Yeah, in the Mexican/Mexican American context, it's associated with urban clothes, style, music, speech. A lot of times it's even a synonym of "gangster."

    I didn't know that about Panama, though. I'm pretty sure it has racial undertones, though, similar to Peru.

    Totally. Once I was dating a dark-skinned girl (of Indian, rather than black descent) and we were at a nightclub. When the dark girl went to the bathroom a former girlfriend of mine (of European descent) came up to me and asked why I was "with that chola" and kinda derided me a bit.

    Truth be told, though. The chola was delicious.

    Yep, here in Miami, they are refered as chongos/chongas.

    No se tio, disculpas si consideras que mi comentario es ofensivo. No soy homofobico y no creo lo pueda ser por considerar sospechoso que nos hagan mirar deportes que no nos interesan un caraxo.

    Explicame tio: como M13RDA, en una olimpiada, se da preferencia a los deportes ya mencionados? Ademas, que sin ser un prejuicio, sino mas bien una realidad, que nuestra TV esta dominada por el respetable mundo gay?

    Pero bueno... es un tema que nada tiene que ver con este foro. Mas bien a lo que iba es que no se pueden buscar biotipos, existiendo talento. Respeto a los que quisieran que los equipos sean una pasarela, pero prefiero que eso ocurra en el Callao Fashion y no en los campos de futbol. Nada de homofobias aqui, realidades, y a no rasgarse las vestiduras.
