Well a French soldier was more likely to pick up some Flemish than a French-speaking Belgian, that's for sure. Le flamand c'est la langue des domistiques!
I'm stoked about Disney buying Lucasfilms. I'll always be a Star Wars fan so the more the better. I'm really digging the animated series that is currently running.
Ok, so far, my wildest dreams are coming true for Episode VII-- Disney is mining some of the Pixar talent. Michael Arndt, writer of Little Miss Sunshine and Toy Story 3 has been confirmed as screenwriter. http://www.slashfilm.com/toy-story-3-scribe-michael-arndt-likely-to-pen-star-wars-vii/#more-147400
Though TBF, the two "Flemish" women in "In Bruges" are played by a Frenchwoman and a Dutchwoman respectively. Because you know, we do not have any actors in this backwater.
I hope that guy got a Ph. D. for his analysis. But he left out: Luke and the ghosts of Yoda, Obi-wan, and Anakin use the force to push all that crap far away.
It's rather weird in light of his comments during the promotion campaign for Crystal Skull. He mentioned several times during interviews that Indy was the one of his two iconic characters he could see himself returning to, since there was little about Han that still interested him. He's singing an entirely different tune now it would seem.
Speaks volumes about how the prequels damaged the series for so many. How many other movie franchises have fans clamouring for their favourite characters to not be included in a sequel?
I don't think is the prequels but Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Both with regards to Harrison Ford or rebooting a series after years have passed since the last one.
Reports are breaking that JJ Abrams will in fact be the director of Episode VII: http://www.slashfilm.com/j-j-abrams-to-direct-star-wars-episode-vii/ An obvious choice, perhaps, but a good one, in my view. I am a fan of Super 8 especially, but also his Star Trek film. And think of all the lens flare possibilities offered by lightsabers!
He's a better fit for the Star Wars universe than he was for the Star Trek one, for damn sure. Plus two suns on Tatooine means twice the lens flares!
I'd agree with Matrim that he is a much better fit for Star Wars than he ever was for Trek. Incidentally, "Super 8" is probably the only movie of his I really liked.

"'Star Wars' spin-offs: A young Han Solo movie, and a Boba Fett film -- EXCLUSIVE" (Wednesday, 2/6/13) -G
I wish the Boba Fett one would take place after the sarlac pit instead of before. He makes it out of the pit in stories following Return of the Jedi.
I'm pumped for the Yoda centric one. If I remember correctly, there's a story where Yoda had to defend the Jedi Temple on his own against a large number of dark jedi or sith and he was successful. It was one of the only times he became angry and close to the dark side. I think that would be a great story to see on film.
