The whole bullsheat was start by a DUMB AZZ that have the concept of locking the restrooms, (a commodity in Mexico) It happen that the Americans were practicing that day without a toilet forcing Landon to pee somewhere in the field...
If you are or were a soccer player you know this happens often, sometimes you just dont have the time go running to a restroom. So what do you do, just sit down, pull your shorts to the side and pee. Why make it a big deal.
Someone shot bootleg video of it. Donovan is peeing behind a shrubbery or a bench or something... The actual video was part of a larger ESPN segment that led up to a U.S. Mexico game sometime in this past cycle (Phoenix maybe?). It also existed on youtube for a while, but they took it down.
I thought that was at a WC -- he was stretching while waiting to come in. IIRC, it was on some German bloopers show.

If I remember correctly, one of the reasons Mexican fans were and remain so ticked off about it is because it was at Estadio Jalisco, which is as pretty close to a shrine in Mexican football as it gets...to some (Chivas fans) even more so than Azteca. It'd be like Randy Moss having taken a leak on Lambeau Field when he was playing for Minnesota...
ok i guess, not in my opinion, but im not jalicense. nothing tops Azteca. estadio jalisco is just where Chivas plays to its their home turf. nothing more than that really. but ask someone from Guadalajara just in case.
The Mexican media and some fans are very sensitive and prima donnas about stuff like this. He had to go and he did, period.
I can't imagine why anyone mexican would consider this a big deal. 1) the AHoles locked the restrooms, what did they expect. 2) the piss hits the turf early and often when those animals throw piss bombs on the field - or is it only an issue if it's american piss, not mexican piss.
