This story has been denied. Apparently geography is not Benteke's strong point. It may be a good idea to visit the club before signing a contract ... just a thought.

I don't see us signing Cavani, but that's my dream signing! I could stop stealing him off Napoli in my FIFA games then too haha.

So Wenger said we won't be selling Walcott in Jan, so will probably lose him in the summer for free. I fully support that. I think by the summer we will know enough about Ox/Gervinho/Podolski to see exactly what we need in order to replace Walcott. So far Giroud is impressive and Podolski is a starter but needs a good defender behind him and can be inconsistent. Not sure I see Gervinho as a starter so we really would need a starter to replace Walcott. Not sure if Ox is better on the wing or midfield yet but he still is learning IMO.

The MF that works for USMNT right now is essentially Jones and Bradley together. Both those guys are playing for two very good teams. I'd be happy to get either one of them.

Defenders should be the priority. It's getting ugly back there.

Because our MF is getting owned by some teams. If we don't have proper width then lack of size in the MF will haunt us.

Frimpong has been loaned to Charlton, not Wolves, until January 1.

I'm hoping it won't take away from Giroud's and Podolski's progress and confidence.
Perhaps it may help them - especially Giroud, with the French connection?

So what number might he get this time?

No. He's been sidelined for a number of weeks because of injury. I think he's just coming back now.

Huntelaar is in the last year of his contract. We can sign him on a Bosman just like some team might sign Theo in January.

So technically we can swoop for Huntelaar in January but he won't be playing for us till next season if that happens.

    How about Pato?

He was the next big thing at one point. Stock has cooled since then, but he can obviously play. Plus, Diaby is getting lonely in the physio's office.

Huntelaar will be 30 years old next year. if he comes for free, then fine; if we have to pay 20mil for him..........i'll pass

Hummels(24, CB), Pisczek(RB), Gundogan(22, CM), Lewandowski(24. CF) n Mario Goetze(20,AM) from Dortmund are very young n promising. Worth scouting

Or else, i like Christian Fuchs(26, LB) n Holtby(22, AM) from Schalke, Witsel(23, DM) from Belgium, Hamsik (25, CM) from Napoli and Jetro Willems (18, Left Back) from PSV

we would have to pay full price for gotze and lewandowski, same for hamsik (though hamsik's rumoured wage isn't too bad).
witsel moved in the summer for 40m euros.
fuchs could be a good call, but would wenger replace santos and/or gibbs to sign him?
even less chance wenger wants pisczek while we have sagna and jenkinson. saying that, his valuation is quite reasonable.
willems...i'm sure i've seen him play a couple of times for the netherlands and he didn't impress me too much (though i believe others thought he played well). very raw.
hummels is a very good player, but has a few years left on his contract and wouldn't be cheap. i can't see wenger spending cash on a top centre back.
gundogan might appeal to wenger, but cm is a cogested place at arsenal. maybe in the future.
we've already been watching holtby for a couple of years. the rumour was that we were considering signing him but were worried about recurring injuries.
