see these nani rumours, is anyone else wondering why?
he'd cost a fortune, both in a fee and in wages, and while he can be a good player, he can also be useless. he throws strops and has even thumped a team mate. surely for £20m we could do better?

What makes you think he'll cost so much? Anyway, I don't think you need to worry. We're not paying £20 million for anybody.

they paid more than that for him as a 20yo. it could be argued he is worth more now that he has developed and gained a lot of experience while still having many years still left in his career. he also has another year and a half left on his contract and is nominally valued at quite a bit more than £20m.

He's out of favor, though. I bet he'll go for significantly less than £20m, if he goes. I don't think it'll be to us, anyway.

I would take Nani, I think he just wants to leave United and is confused that he Ashley Young types are getting time over him.

He is temperamental but when he was on form a couple of seasons ago, dude was world class.

First Serious question- who's going to pay Theo more? Have there been any rumors of substance for him?

    Second Serious question- Nani? Seriously?

This is a move that I would be happy about but its come far too late. This is the kind of appointment that should have been made when Dein left in the first place. Ivan isnt a real football man and there has been no evidence of his influence on the squad. The likes of Marwood would fight for a modern wage structure to keep what we have and to attract a stronger calibre of player plus I have a feeling that he would squeeze more out of a negociation in our favour.

I'd be happy if we replaced Gazidis, but is there any evidence that Marwood can drive a hard bargain? Anyway, maybe we can do a swap. Gazidis is a Citeh fan, isn't he?

in fairness, the way they are describing this doesnt make it sound as if Gazidis is getting fired, or that Gazidis has much say over player acquisitions.

But yeah, there is no evidence that Marewood would do anything spectacular except for fans just wanting something different.

I believe that was a temporary role which he vacated when Gazidis was brought on board.

None that I can think of but Wenger needs a guy who is close to him, that he can trust and is on his side on footballing matters. IG is a sock puppet for the board, not somebody who I would imagine would dare contradict the board.

Im not sure if Marwood is that man but I would rather an ex pro or a real 'football' guy like Dein handling squad matters as opposed to Gazidis
