I know the "Chosen One" received Player of the Week but I nominate Danesha Adams!
    Why?
She was a Big reason why Phili beat the First Place team in the league.
That team, WNY hadn't lost a game during 2011.
That team has Team Marta playing for them.
The goal came during extra time.
The goal was a header off an extremely tough pass.
It to, was Adams first goal of the season.

I get tired of reading press clippings that always ends with and so and so played for the UNC Tarheels and won the NC in 20 and blahblahblah. That's past history and the WPS needs to take a look of the here and now. Hey, there are other players in the league that don't get recognized because they didn't graduate from UNC. It's embarrassing and a turnoff!

The goal did not come in extra time it came in the 90th, gametime had not expired

Why it was listed as 90+ in the box score is beyond me

    SCORING SUMMARY:
    Team 1 2 F
    PHI 0 1 1
    WNY 0 0 0

PHI: Danesha Adams (Lianne Sanderson) 90'

In a week where half the teams posted shutouts, I say a defender should win for once - certainly over someone who only played 36 minutes and had a comparatively easy time scoring considering she was left wide open. (But then I think defenders get less recognition in this league than they deserve.)

Not knocking Danesha but my vote would have been for Val Henderson keeping the Flash = Flat.
