World Cup and suspensions notwithstanding, In one years time since Dempsey's arrival, he will have played in 19 games in one full year. Not sure how this is worth the money they paid him...
LOL, so they complain about spending $20.00 extra at Levi's but they don't' care that their club spent $30 million on a player who plays 19 games in one year? Wonderful...
Priorities. Interestingly, I'm not sure where I stand on the Dempsey thing. I never really followed his play much, even before his initial MLS departure. His attitude seems to be pointing to a higher interest in earnings than in playing the game, which is fine. It surprises me, though, considering you'd think a guy on the cusp of his last World Cup would be paying more attention to how well he's playing. He has plenty of years to rake in the cash but just one to do something truly meaningful for the US.
I'm not so sure about plenty of years. I mean he just turned 31 and maybe he can play for another 3 or 4 years but sooner or later, his legs will give out. Unless MLS is going to pay out big money to an over the hill over 35 American player. I don't think that will happen.
