I think Clint Dempsey's new nickname should be Flash.

I love Darke's play by play. We're so lucky to have him "all hell broke loose at that one"

if I had my druthers, my starting line-up

    -----kelly-----hughes------brede-----riise
    ---------etuhu-------murphy-------diara----
    ---Frei-------------------------------------Duff
    --------------------Dembele-------------------

Play wide counter attacking soccer, negate all of chelsea's middle play, then minute 65 or so bring in Dempsey, kranka, and Sa and drop into a 4-4-2.

The team is going to be tired.

    just like clockwork.

notice how I am willing to not always just accept what is in front of me and make suggestions that imply the fulham team is oldish and tired and nearly always concedes to chelsea with play right down the middle?

oh well. We'll see how it turns out.

Sam, you should stay away from posting on tactics. Suggesting that Dembele be played up top (and Dempsey left on the bench) makes you look silly.

Frei has been the most dangerous player on the field so far.

Jol is going to need to take some of the Dempsey cash this summer and go out and get some depth at forward. They have none currently. I do like Clint playing in a more forward role in this scenario.

Once again, the big club gets the big call.

Hard to tell even from multiple replays whether Murphy caught the ball or the man with his tackle. Those borderline calls will tend to go to the bigger clubs though, especially if Murphy is going to leave his feet like that.

Shame because Fulham in my opinion looked the better side up to that point, if only slightly. Entertaining half nonetheless.

yes, I have zero problem looking silly and Jol seems to have no problem losing.
