Defoe was on the floor and Clattenberg let play continue and called the medic out after the ball was played out. Bale is on the floor and Clattenberg whistled immediately and runs over to check on the player. :p

Clint shot from corner, had pace but right at Foster.

And on queue, Sigurdsson warming up.

There's no way Dempsey's coming off. Spurs are down to a half a striker on this roster, and his name is Clint.

Holtby gets in Clint's way, ball turned over.

Goal Bale. Wide open on top of the 18 and he drilled it.

He really is like Ronaldo circa 2007 or so.

See that - that's why e'ryone slurps Bale.

Bale scores a nice shot from about 20 yards. 1 - 0 Tottenham.

I don't know if anyone in this thread has noticed him, but that Bale fellow is something special.

Nice goal from Bale! Guy's a beast. 1-0. Hopefully that takes some of the pressure off the team and they can knock a couple more in.

Wow. Possible ankle ligament damage for Defoe out of what looked like almost nothing.

Spurs might need to play Bale as a striker. He's certainly about as efficient as one and doesn't look to do much else than score.

Damn, that was Clint's opportunity to score. Nice ball in, touch took him wide, out for a corner

Duece just took a shaky touch that led him out wide and took a shot that wasn't headed on goal - which led to a corner. If Bale had done that, there'd be some complaining, no?

Bales does that 3 - 4 times a match, but no it was not a great decision by Dempsey.

Definitely a poor touch. That was a really nice ball in that he wasted.

Yeah, there would have. Dempsey has been off so far with Spurs. He looks a step slow and maybe lacking some confidence.

Yeah, it's weird. He seemed to have his confidence drop after the Leeds match. He doesn't look nearly as sharp or aggressive.

Lennon goes 1 v 4, shot deflects clear.
