The officials have let this game get out of control.

That's interesting, because I thought this has been one of Dempsey's most unselfish matches thus far. He's laid it off for Ade, Huddlestone, and Bale.

Just because the players are reacting like a bunch of babies at every call doesn't necessarily mean the officials aren't doing fine. Really, I'm sick of these players. Just play!

Maicon making up for his skinning by Bale from a couple years back. Great sub by Mancini. Adebayor had a great match. City has had over 60% possession, and there hasn't been much service, so to have that impact is really something.

That was a hell of a sequence. Great by Friedel, great run and look by Bale, great effort by Clint.

    Well. That's hardly surprising.

Thats what a 300M squad will buy you right there. Maicon changed this game. He's been abusing the right side.

    Aguero is their best player.

He's their best offensive player - but Yaya is their best footballer, methinks.

I think we can all agree, Dempsey has been useless today.

the more I watch Spurs, the more I think AVB won't last long. Not just because of play, but his subs have been questionable

Uh. No. He's been fine. He and Adebayor did a very good job with very little support.

I actually think that is quite the overstatement.

I might have brought Defoe on earlier for Ade, but I don't think his subs had any impact either way

Star and striped shades I fear.

Don't twitter 'Dempsey' if you thought he had a good game....

I don't twitter at all, as 140 characters doesn't lend itself to much in the way of quality analysis. I think Fanatical Monk's analysis earlier in the thread was largely correct. Dempsey does a lot of work away from the ball that many people find far too easy to overlook. It's part of the game, too.

Walker had an assist for Aguero. Not sure what Dempsey had to do with it, but I'm sure one can be found. Tottenham has one impact sub, and he was used. City did a good job bottling up the wings so there wasn't much service.

Tottenham isn't as tight at the back as they were early on. Walker and Gallas have been bad. And the injured mids are killing any attack. Oh, and they were away to the BPL league winners last season, and were favored to win by over a goal today.

Twitter is where the stupid go to make sure that everyone knows they are stupid. It truly is the armpit of the internets.

I though Dempsey was average over all, perhaps one of his better games as a spur which is troubling. Spur's passing was bad all around. He had a better 2nd half linking play and almost sprung Defoe. Would of liked to have seen Defoe in a bit earlier, maybe for Lennon instead of Adebayor. It's hard to tell but it seems his role is suppose to be, a disruptor and linker of play? There has to be some reason why AVB keeps starting him.

As much I like Deuce - you have to be looking pretty closely, and have a very liberal definition of 'contributing', to say he had a good match today. He simply didn't do very much. And no, his teammates weren't very good either.

This might be the wrong team for Dempsey. Dempsey can be selfish, but he will give you the occasional through ball. I really hate Citeh. They remind me of the spoiled brat kids I used to see at lunchtime from Beverly Hills high. They would yell at the people working in the restaurants with a sense of entitlement and disdain they made you want to slap the crap out of them. That's how Man City treat the ref and crew. I really hate it.
